Apostrophe.
- Seriously. Why he included one after the word Logo is beyond me. Especially since he wrote "logos" and "others" without it.monospaced

What randommail said. A new company can't come out of the gate without nomenclature attached to their symbol (assuming they have a symbol). It takes years, money, and strategic sense to create that kind of instant, symbolic brand recognition.

Mark recognition has very little to do with the mark itself.
It's mostly about the amount of money and time spent on getting the mark in front of people.

Thanks Continuity. Nice one.
I'm seeing a trend in my research that these can be mostly corporate brands. Any underdogs/campaigns that you know of that stand alone or could?
I guess if they are underdogs they would need to spell it out to get the word out.
I think that Oxfam could stand alone?
- Brand recognition on imagemark alone takes not only a lot of time, but the product or service needs to have broad appeal.Continuity
- Nike, Apple, Shell, McDonalds ... all imagemarks for products that have massive general Market shares, not niches.Continuity

Like http://www.underconsideration.co… some logos can stand alone because of brand recognition.
Does anyone else know of others?
