RE: dijitaq's high end property website post-it feedback...
Hopefully, an Art Director/Creative Director would take this differently, like "Client changed audience requirements to include children browsing the site, so we have to meet and discuss things like revising the navigation and the deadlines and other specs"
then something like "We will pitch them on 2 ideas, one is ignoring child browsers and keeping our budget/timeline/approvals the other is doubling the budget and timeline in order to satisfy 3% of possible users who are NOT likely buyers, and we have to RESIST the idea of having fun making it in baby-talk and huge ugly fonts because some clients will ACTUALLY APPROVE OUR INSIDE JOKE DESIGNS"

It doesn't really matter what it looks like.

just got one today for a high-end property development website. on a post-it, stuck to my monitor:
"site looks fantastic! works perfectly on my computer. but i think a child browsing the website would have a hard time going through the site. revise the navigation!"

When I'm approving or critiquing work, I always try to be specific. Saying "I don't like it" or "start over" is bullshit, and offers no value on how to improve (well, maybe start over does). Backing up suggestions helps the designer with..... wait for it..... direction!
Otherwise, you get into unnecessary rounds of revision from a designer who's trying to read your/client's mind.- < also, I realize this isn't what the original post requested.bulletfactory

Discussing the work:
"Yeah, I think it's cool. We all think it's really cool. But you have to get rid of the overprinting...it's not a battle I want to fight tomorrow."Way to go, boss. Way to stand up for us.
