i was not wholly impressed with last night. the bit with Tyrese and his woman holding firm against those other two guys was good. The whole Rick not trusting anyone is tiresome. Darryl's insistance on sticking with his goober of a brother is dumb (though may bear more interesting stuff later). The apparent fracturing that seems to be happening within the core group seems like it may be tedious. Hopefully next week it turns around to some degree

Last night's episode was solid. I'm glad that we're temporarily past Rick acting like a psycho, but I fear that will come back around pretty soon. Definitely starting to pick up on the LOST feel. I really hope they don't do something dumb at the end of this season, such as a huge "on the edge of war" cliffhanger.

How did the dude take the tower, and who was the mystery truck driver with all the walkers?

and I hope Morgan makes a return

Oh man, just finished watching the episode....why was the pedo white trash guy the sniper kill? Not Michonne?
Rick needs to get his shit together...
And yeah...what _niko posted...WTF was up with the van driver with the walkers??

I do appreciate this show and enjoy watching it, but I'm lost, really, as to where on the arc, or arcs, we really are - they're all stuck in the prison, occaisionally fighting off walkers, sometimes other people - they don't have quest to fulfill, just one skirmish after another, sometimes one of them dies, sometimes another person joins them. But the same things just seem to happen over and over - I'm sort of losing interest, and that bums be because it was genuinely exciting and I've never had patience for anything zombie-related in the past - I just don't care about zombies, they're not scary, they're not even possible - I still find myself scoffing at the idea that there are 'herds' of them, as was mentioned this week. Herds ? Really ? Wandering all day, burning 3 or 4 thousand calories - what are they eating ? I can't just ignore the law of biology that easily - like if gravity stopped working, or the speed of sound changed for a plot point - I can't deal with it. These zombies are sort of fun and very vivid - enough for me to not be entirely exasperated as they interacted with the characters who - for the most part, were pretty genuine, and well cast, directed and performed. Nothing that's happened recently though has developed them significantly enough for me to care. Making someone temporarily insane is always a desperate move, imho even if it did light up the others for a few days. I'm looking for more at this point.
- i'm in the same boat, the walkers have become a nuisance, like mosquitos in summer._niko
- I find it super slow and uninteresting at times as well, i'm just hoping they're gearing up foe something huge._niko
- I get what you're saying but I feel its still very entertaining and better than 90% of the crap on the boob tube.Ramanisky2
- I think you're over-analyzing zombies. They walk slow and look great when their brains are destroyed.CyBrainX

bump
- Don't worry. This thread isn't going anywhere until the show ends.CyBrainX

This show's getting a little slowwwwww.
"I Ain't No Judas" Episode
Carl - "I'm a pretty good shot..."
Rick - "Yes you are!..."The Episode just before this one.
Carl couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, nor could anyone for that matter, when shooting at the guy standing out IN THE OPEN up on the tower. I mean... what the hell? Maggie wasn't even holding the gun right. And I'm supposed to believe the Governor sniped that dude from that far away with that scope and gun? Come on.I'm also sick of the Laurie crap.
Lastly, that's what I really liked about the comics. Early on as a reader you realize the walkers become nothing more than a nuisance. It's the other people you need to worry about, and that to me was fantastic.

This was the episode that broke the camels back for me.
Three seasons in and they've hit a wall - the zombies are essentially harmless - and this entrenched, SLOW warfare that's happening is boring too. Too much of a focus on 'character development' for characters we've seen for the last three years. Rick has always been a little off - probably always will be. Andrea has always been a bit petulant and confused, yada yada yada.
The fact that the last two seasons have been dealing with the same merry band of characters and those characters have been holed-up in some dwelling (realistically, I can't fault them, but the show is more entertaining when they're out in the wild and don't have a wall to their back) makes for a very monotonous show.
I'll probably finish this season - season 4 is looking like a 'no'.
- i wonder if that's the point, if we survived 4 years of zombies we might all be getting a little cabin fever._niko

There's a huge world out there beyond Millbury and the prison, but we're stuck in this little microcosm, it's getting extremely boring, I wish they would move on, or at least do something that validates this long build up.

Sounds like most of you want to watch 28 days later or or world war z some other high pace zombie action type show. this aint it folks. stop watching now. personally i love the slow pace. i rather deal with a whole episode of these characters talking to each other than jet planes zooming down with bombs like these other movies...
- loved the slow pace on the farm, I just don't like the governor i think._niko
- really? i hated the farm...pango
- The farm was a great set up so you can see how different these people are today in the prison than the farm.ArmandoEstrada

The problem is that the writing and acting is not good enough to justify all the slow paced stuff.
- I mostly agree with this. There are a few good actors on the show, but several bad ones, and the writing is so corny at times.DRIFTMONKEY
