season one was great. i just couldn't get pass season 2...

My thought on S03 so far.
The good:
- The phone. I'm glad the show did this.
- Daryl Dixon. For not even being in the comic, he is my favorite TV character.
- The prison. Second favorite TV character.
- Rick's breakdown.
- Carl's story arc. Tough little fucker.
- The zombie killing this season has been awesomely violentThe bad:
- Killing off T-Dog.
- Lori's death. Baby living. Kind of lame.
- Michone. All she does is brood and pout. Not the bad ass I was hoping for.
- The governor. They got the actor wrong on this one. Should be much more terrifying.
- Andrea. Ugh, what happened?- Agree with Daryl, T-Dog was meh, in the end who cared if he died?FallowDeer
- I'm hoping the more charismatic actor in the governor role is to help contrast the darker stuff coming.ETM
- But how that goes will depend on the range of the actor and the writing/directing.ETM
- They've chosen the slow burn route to seeing the real governor, though, for sure.ETM

I still enjoy the show but...they would have been better off keeping it more like the comic in terms of the Micchone/ Governor storyline. Maybe they thought it was too gruesome or extreme for a TV show.

I think Lauren Cohan (Maggie) is so hot.
Oh and the mid-season finale was great. I like how Rick is unraveling and how Glen is becoming a beast!

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend during a heated argument over the television show "The Walking Dead," authorities say.
Jared Gurman, 26, was charged with attempted murder after shooting his girlfriend with a .22-caliber rifle at his Williston Park home early Monday morning, police said Tuesday.
The unidentified woman suffered a pierced lung, shattered rib and pierced diaphragm. She is in stable condition.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but I was thinking today that Robert Kirkman has stated in interview that he has an ending for the book in mind. He can run it as long as he wants but he knows how he wants to wrap up the story and how long it will take to do.
Bearing in mind the life span of US TV shows is never set in stone (plenty of shows get cancelled in their prime, sometimes mid-season), I wonder if he's got a different ending in mind for the show? Because it's more than likely the book will outlive the TV.
My money is on a Blake 7 style everyone dies horribly in the last five minutes.
