6'1" 200+ lb size 12. I had an Arbor Element 163 W but was to freaking huge. Sold it to my 6'4" size 13 wearing friend and bought a Nitro Template '61 2 years ago. Funny thing is even though the Nitro uses a carbon hybrid laminate it weighs the exact same as the Koa Wood Arbor which is a lot bigger board!

Anyone know any slopes in Europe that are more boarding oriented?
All the slopes I've visited (Austria, basically) are completely mogulled to pieces by the skiers, and the odd rare speck of off-piste is cut to pieces by other boarders, as there are so few! The only piece of nice smooth powder required a 30 minute uphill hike through deep snow! ...and was only a few hundred metres.

I'm hoping to get out to the slopes in Feb but that's 3 months away...
So, to make the wait less agonising, can any of you guys who are already enjoying the snow, post some pics and make me jealous :-)

I'm going Saturday provided there's enough snow! They just started making snow at Devil's Head up in Wisconsin yesterday... but cold temps all week and some natural snow should help them out. They only expect to have 3 runs open and not sure about terrain park but screw it, I'll be so happy just to ride on something to start the season off. I'll practice my endos!

Question for everyone: Anyone use the rub on wax that's easier to apply? I don't know anything about it, but if I end up going Saturday I might need to add something to my board. A friend is going to teach me how to wax it, and once I move I'll have a space in the basement to work on stuff, but in the meantime am I assuming correctly that it's just a rub on short-term wax? Anyone familiar with this?
- youtube has several videos on thishonestIy
- lasts 1 or 2 runs. Unless speed is really a factor for you (BIG park jumps where you need every bit of speed you can find) I wouldn't bother.ntslide
- I wouldn't bother with the rub on
ntslide - cool, thanks. Glad I'm going to learn how to do it on my own.mg33
- you don't need a workspace. do it on your kitchen floor. scrape the wax outside, or even better in the parking lot when you arrive.horton
- you arrive. leaving wax unscraped and on edges is good if you mount board to roof of vehicle.horton

re. rub-on wax.
don't bother. waste of time and money. spend 30$ on a proper hot waxing iron and do it right. super easy to DIY.
for me hot waxing at night and getting stoked for the day to follow is all part of the fun.
