The Nug reminds me of this board that came out a while back, Rossignol Mini ... I'm very curious too.

I'm all set to go tomorrow at this small place in Galena, IL that always has a pretty decent terrain park. Getting my board waxed tonight - just bought a full kit of supplies, iron, etc.
Going to an all-weekend event next weekend up at Devil's Head, Wisconsin called Rock and Ride - three days of riding, live bands, booze, and an all-around good time.

Can anyone comment on snowboarding in the alpes/europe as compared to some of the hills in CAN/US? I'm talking about Whistler, Baker, Washington and hills like the ones in Utah?
I don't mean shear number of runs but just the type of snow, eg, number of days with powder in a row.. I've been living in Vancouver for like all my life and can only remember maybe 4-5 days of epic snow conditions... Even flew out to Fernie and was dissapointed, maybe just my luck..

Got out yesterday for my first day of the season at a small place called Chestnut Mt. in Galena, IL. Had about an hour of light rain that turned into 4 - 6 inches of fresh snow all afternoon. Bad visibility and we were completely soaked, but it was so much fun. There's not often days in the midwest with lots of snow and fresh powder all day. We actually left the terrain park and rode some of the other runs - really fun with the fresh snow. I'd only ridden in a terrain park for the first time this past February and just trying to get comfortable on flat boxes; already feel pretty comfortable turning into frontside boardslides, just need to keep my speed up. I'll be going for three days this coming weekend to a place called Devil's Head up in Wisconsin, so hoping to bring my skills up even more. So much fun though, being back into this after 9 years of no riding is so much fun no matter where/what I'm riding.

Here's a good question: Does anyone want to meet up at Breckenridge the weekend of February 24th? I'm planning on taking a chartered trip from Chicago, but my main riding friends are either hurt or can't go. My trip is a package deal, staying at a hillside resort for like $1,100, but that would be pretty cool if someone in CO wanted to come down there. I won't have a room as far as I can tell, but maybe if we played our cards right I could see about having someone on this trip package, but without airfare.
Think about it... I'd love to ride with some QBN'ers and I so want to make this trip. Feb 24 - 27, riding on the 25th, 26th, and 27th.

Wait... what I meant was, I won't have a room that you can share unless you somehow got onto the trip package. They're bunking us up two to a room for the people leaving from Chicago.
