@mikotondria - you asking why bother with all these wasted hours to buff up?
As Steve jobs very accurately pointed out, the most important thing regardless of your goals and Intentions with your exercise is that improves your quality of life. Stress relieving, confidence boosting it just makes you happy. The first thing a doctor will tell you if you have insomnia or depression is to exercise daily. Becuase it's so good for your mental well being.
I agree I think those huge guys pictured above are kinda hideous, but a part of me is also impressed at their achievement. I would ever want to be like that though.

I know exactly what your saying about being at the age where your body is more affected by your lifestyle.
I turned 25 recently and knowing that 25 is the age where you are potentially as strong and as fit as you can be it kinda scared me a bit. I have a bit of fat on me and i'm good fitness wise, but knowing that my body shape is beginning to 'set' is pretty scary.
Training time. Sign up to a new gym today infact. Strength training, plyometrics and testosterone growth exercises I'm focussing on.
I like grip training stuff too, used to be able to tear a yellow pages in half with just my hands and need to build up to that, there's one in my cupboard I've been threatening regularly, gonna mess him up!!
What you going for dude? How old are ya? Favorite color? A/s/l? Lolololo

Just wack some in a protein shake and there you have it. It won't harm you as long as you drink lots of water.
And as far as 'why bother training' is concerned... people don't want to spend their life as unfit fat lazy twats. Since when has giving a shit what you actually looked like been so frowned upon? You all seem to think you have extraordinary fashion sense (judging by some of the clothes threads I've seen here, trust me ā you don't) but even still, if you've got an out of shape body underneath your clothes you are still going to look like an unfit fat lazy twat.
Creatine won't turn you into a Arnie-a-like but it'll help you train harder, give you focus etc... Diet is the THE most important thing though. In the past I've found that a protein shake and creatine to be enough as far as supplements are concerned, anything else is pretty much unnecessary unless you are pro. It might even help you eat healthier because if you know you are spending your hard earned cash on this stuff, you might not want that cheeky chocolate bar or bag of crisps part way through the day... works for me.

creatine has nothing to do with being healthy or having a hot bod for the ladies. Unless your livelihood depends on gaining lots of muscle mass fast than i don't know why you'd bother.
- In other words you don't need creatine to look good or stay alive so fuck it********

Just be careful. Any time you introduce something that already occurs naturally in your body, your body has to adapt to it and can get used to it thus throwing your entire body functions off. Making your liver, pancreas and genitals work over time is bad. Dont be in a rush! Do what everyone else said. Eat a lot of meals using all the food groups. You have all winter to get ripped! To see fast results start lifting your own body weight., concentrate on breathing and hey! maybe do some martial arts.
Good luck!!!

bottom line is knowledge is power. first figure out what your goal is - that will directly determine how much you'll need to change your diet, and whether any supplements might help you, and what kind of routine will work best for you. without a goal you're wasting your time and ultimately you'll give up.
- knowledge is not power, not the knowledge you're thinking.********

McMINNVILLE, Ore. ā All but three of the players who suffered muscle damage during preseason practice at an Oregon high school are expected to be out of the hospital Monday.
Dr. Craig Winkler says the results of blood tests due this week will determine whether any of the 19 McMinnville High School players ingested a supplement such as creatine (KREE-uh-teen) that could explain what happened to them.
He says a few players told doctors they used protein shakes, but he says it's unknown what was in them.A doctor sums up the illness that hit 19 members of a northwest Oregon high school football team as "very weird." They all suffered muscle damage after a preseason camp.
Three of the McMinnville High School players also were diagnosed with a rare soft-tissue condition called "compartment syndrome," which caused soreness and swelling in their triceps. They underwent surgery to relieve the pressure.
The 19 players all had elevated levels of the enzyme creatine kinase, or CK, which is released by muscles when they're injured, said Dr. Craig Winkler of Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville. High CK levels can lead to kidney failure if not properly treated.
"To have an epidemic like this is very weird," Winkler said.
Officials said the cause was still a mystery, but high CK levels can result from vigorous exercise or the use of certain medications or food supplements.
Five of the athletes were treated in the emergency room and sent home. The other 11 were admitted to the hospital and given intravenous fluids to maintain adequate hydration and prevent kidney failure, he said.
Ten boys remained hospitalized Sunday, but they were in good condition and were expected to be released Monday, said Rosemari Davis, Willamette Valley Medical Center's chief executive officer.
He also said officials will look at water sources and what the kids had to drink, including power mixes.
Winkler said blood test results expected Tuesday could show whether the athletes ingested creatine, which is found in legal high-powered protein supplements. He added officials are not testing for steroids because it would be unlikely for that many students to have access, and "creatine makes way more sense.""They swelled to the verge of popping," the 17-year-old senior said in a telephone interview. "I thought it was just swelling from an intense workout."
