I switched over to Safari finally. I never thought i'd say this... but it's a fucklot faster than FF. Hands down.

Safari for everyday browsing, Firebug in FF for development. Just as speedy as can be on localhost with MAMP.

I moved over to chrome from firefox a few weeks ago, the performance difference is pretty huge even on a beefed up mac pro. I don't know what the difference is like on the PC version however, firefox has always been pretty shit on OSX.
I've used the dev tool thing in it a bit as well, but it's still not as good as firebug..
