I've spend the whole morning searching for DPIs in Paintbrush.. can anybody help? maybe I will have to design the next Iphone application in Word...

Amicus was right in one of the first comments. It simply doesn't matter as long as the pixel dimensions are correct. It can be 1 dpi or 1,000.

PPI doesn't matter. The only thing you should worry is pixel dimensions.
The PPI's only affect the size of the screen. So a screen with a resolution of 640 x 960 with 326ppi ( in the case of the iPhone 4 ) will have the phisical size of 3.5-inch long diagonal, if it were a 72ppi density screen, it would be 16-inch long diagonal.
Your graphic would be the same, but the display you are viewing it is of a different size.- exactly, LOL at print people doing screen design.PIZZA

There was a time when browsers couldn't show higher resolution images, you know.
- What are you talking about? They have always shown images at 1:1. And still do,ribit
- unless you scale them down, in which case you aren't displaying the full detail.ribit
- No. Higher res images would take on strange colours and glitches, if they displayed at all.i_monk
