if i owned a gun it would be for target shooting/fun. if i needed something for home defense, i'd buy a tranquilizer gun. i'd shoot the burglar, hogtie him, call the police and file charges.

No guns here, but that might change thanks to a project which—due to reasons out of my control—had to be printed in Beijing, and has been totally wrecked by an incompetent printer. The worst part is that my client (they're in Beijing as well) signed and approved sheets after a 12 hour press check, so now they're stuck with poorly registered, incorrectly printed stationery. This simple project has turned into a total nightmare. I'm so pissed off right now.

Noone in my family or anyone I know of my age owns a gun. I live in Norway.
US of A is a third world country -- a scientifically proven fact. "Homo homini lupus" -- "man is a wolf to his fellow man", set into real life, and there are no other principles of exstence in America.

Great attitude, drgz. How is it a scientifically proven fact that American is a third world country? Could you point us to some sources? You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever even been here? Or do you simply buy wholeheartedly every single tall-tale about the murderous, ubiquitously obese Americans that weasels its way up your local fjord?

the only thing scarier than being held up at gun point is being in a tense situation with some dumb f*ck gun owner who thinks they can protect me.

Couple days ago, a friend of mine had an incident where someone broke into his property, he woke up to the noise of someone trying to open the back door. He was doubted that someone was there since he has two pitbulls. The noise continues and things started to get serious, he saw a shadow so he pulls the gun out and walks through another door to surprise the trespasser, he got to the door and steps outside, but saw no one. Suddenly out of the blue a shubby guy with baggy pants jumps out of nowhere and starts walking towards him. Meanwhile his wife was hiding his newborn child and calling the police. The trespasser keeps walking towards my friend and by the time he shout 3 times stop right there! When he saw that guy wasn't stopping he pulled the gun at him and stop. My friend asked him, what are you doing in my property and he said " i need help" and ran out of the house. The cops arrived 25 minutes later.
