My brother's owned Porsches for the last 8 years. He's had a Boxter, 911-4S and two 911 Carrera 2s. He's decided to move on from Porsches as his back is totally fucked-up from driving them - the pedals are off-set and you sit slightly twisted (right hand drive). Apart from that, they're amazing cars to drive! Take one out for a test drive :)

I used to own this car (1990, 911/964)
Fantastic car, and I will for sure buy a new porsche in the future. Costs of ownership depends on how old the car is and how much you are willing to fix yourself. If you are planning to buy the boxster in the image and use authorized dealers for service you are looking at maybe 1.5 times the running cost of a normal car. If you are planning an older model, say a 993 and are able to do some simple maintenance yourself you can get away really cheap. Remember that 911 are considered very reliable cars...Compared to the total number of cars produced, i think as much as 75% of all cars are actually on the road. Thats better than any other brand.
- shame about the awful wheels.
Of course, this is just the envy talking.,,rascuache

i just gotta say when I see someone in a porsche i think they're trying to show how rich they are but can't afford a lambo.
that money's better spent on a nice merc or something.
- ... or you want one of the best sports cars that you can use everyday. Not like a Lambogoldieboy
