Oh my, what have you done to the type!? I don't know if I can forgive that.
- heh the client prefered that type over the other oneinstil_design
- But, the T and D are freakishly large and all the weights are off and the type is cramped...ugh.monospaced
- The logo is waaay too big on everything, it's ridiculous. How did you sell black to a WINDOW company?!?monospaced
- the sizes of the logo will change, nothings final on there yet, ill show the commentsinstil_design
- to them about the font hopefully get a solutioninstil_design
- they like the fact it stood out form every other window company locally and made the green stand out , and the link with being green etcinstil_design
- don't let your client tell you which font to useinkpink

needs more space between symbol and text...and looks more like a restaurant to me at first view (and I didnt read the thread)
- Thanks, i agree with that looking back at it ,! will amend thatinstil_design

I'm no expert in such matters, but it looks like you need to tweak your kerning - the spacing between the O / R / E feel off, imho.
Also, not sure what the inital/end caps offer.
You've got a couple of competing ideas in there - Classic Roman logotype, modern sans-serif subline, abstract geometric form. imho, again, at least one of them should go.
- ah, that's what bothers me - the end cap D makes me read it as 'Tailor Red'.detritus

TA IL OR ED....
Find a font that helps these letters become a word.
- quack0
TAIL? or ED?

@monospaced redoing it with the old type to try and convince them to go with that instead :)
- sell it, sugarcoat it, convince like you've never convinced before, sell it like it's in their favormonospaced

instead of placing the logo on each piece of collateral, make it work with the format it's being placed on. looks like a copy/paste job thus far ^

The logo is far too large on most of the collateral you've mocked up.Amicus

- Have you printed that letterhead 1:1? the logo + etc are covering a massive space. Also, have your thought...maikel
- how will they align the text to write in it?maikel
- not yet not got to that stage, just mocking up how it could look for the client,instil_design
- You should layout the letterhead using a dummy letter. Does the client write long letters? Do they need a second sheet? The brown box in the corner looks good but it's going to push the date, name and address of the letter recipient, and salutation down prety far on the page.Josev

I still think the word "Tailored" is too close too the mark. It feels cramped, especially with the second line of type right under it. And while the green/black combo might be original, I don't understand how looking through a window into darkness is a good thing.
So, on to the kerning. Guys, set him straight, I'm too tired for this.

yeah monospace i see what your saying, thanks. all part of the learning experience! heh
- I wouldn't be so participatory if I didn't see potential in this.monospaced

Just to add a positive amongst all the negativity in here (rightly or wrongly), instil_design, you've got a good attitude pal, good luck to ya.
- instil_design0
- I really hate to say this, but no.
Why are you insisting on a background color at all!?monospaced - the blue/blue combo might work, but I really enjoyed the single color approach you started withmonospaced
- heh no worries, ill go back to the single colour format, and go from thereinstil_design
- I really hate to say this, but no.

oh man, so many tick-mark-type vertical elements in that name. this all could have been pulled off in a nice typographic mark utilizing the verticals to allude to those ruler marks...
