- One of the rare cases where the American version is better source material.garbage
- Kubrick masterpieceHAL9001
- Oh an to clarify, I meant the American version as in the book. The US release omitted Chapter 21, in which Alex basically goes "OH WELL, WON'T DO CRIME ANYMORE"garbage
- Kubrick made the right call. Can you imagine how much that would ruin the film if that was the ending?garbage

Random list:
Body Double - This and Blowout are my fave DePalma films
Dirty Harry (the whole series is amazing)
Returner - IMO an underrated sci-fi film from Japan
Natural City - Slick Korean sci-fi before Netflix took all the steam
Sparrow - fun pickpocket film
Wonderful Days - great Korean animation (alt title is Blue Sky I believe)
Tekkonkinkreet - Masterpiece
Metropolis - Another masterpiece - truly epic
- love body double...and blow-out best travolta film after SNF and Pulp fiction._niko
- Body Double is a classicRamanisky2
- Body Double, Bill Maher's best role!futurefood
- ^ haha yes ... always thought they were the same guy.Ramanisky2

A DP friend turned me on to this the other day. The Beasts. A really REALLY well paced thriller, had me super on edge the whole time, loads of depth and backstory that continues to reveal, and some amazingly timeless choices.
10/10 would totally recommend.
- That looks really, really good. Tell me, though, do a lot of animals die? haha =(elahon
- Added to watchlistRamanisky2
- Added too, looks great.MrT
- Galicia Calidade, lol.
It reminds me of the Basque Country of my childhood, there are still people like that here, love it, lol. The film is great!!OBBTKN - where and how to watch? it's so fucking hard to find movies, pay some money, and watch them....inteliboy

- I remember my vhs copy had this one scene where the head, um gives head.
But years later I bought the DVD and they took it out. shame.futurefood - ^ no ... you gotta be kidding me. That’s such bsRamanisky2
- "A head gives head. Its hilarious. Barbara thinks so too." https://www.reddit.c…imbecile
- When I was a kid, I tried to remake this shot with a broken glow stick and a dog syringe. It worked, but horrified my parents.garbage
- They have also cut out the entire storyline where his nemesis has hypnotic powers. Changes the movie a bit.lemmy_k
- Also, he has a good head on his shoulders, and one on his desk.lemmy_k
- Why did they butcher the original cut?
Pathetic.Ramanisky2 - Hell fucking yes, I love this movie! Haven't seen it in years!elahon
- I never seen this before, how did I miss it?cherub
- i remember being slightly underwhelmed by this flick, but perhaps that's because of all the hype surrounding it.hans_glib
- @hans well I guess I'm going to have to start tagging my neighborhood with your name again. Suggestions? It used to be "HANS GLIB LIVES".garbage
- "Hans Glib is underwhelmed" is actually pretty funny.garbage
- I remember my vhs copy had this one scene where the head, um gives head.

Directed by Ali Abbas who directed the final two ep's of The Last of Us. Pretty brutal and with plenty to say about Iranian society.

- 2010: The Year We Make Contact (1984)Bluejam
- Always compared unfairly with 2001. With this and Outland, Hyams made two of the best outer space films ever.face_melter

- I reckon it's his best yet.MrT
- i rewatched killing of a sacred dear last night. So amazing. Loved how Barry Keoghan played a similar story in Saltburn too.Ianbolton
- Can't wait to see this oneIanbolton
- There were a lot of rides in it. Haha. Every character was uniquely fascinating to watch. Probably one of my all time favourite films of all times.Ianbolton

Lover the atmosphere in this. Great soundtrack, too:
- I quite liked that movie, but the sets were really weird because Polanski is a nonce and can't travel.PhanLo
- The sets were weird? What sets in particular?jagara
- You could tell they were on greenscreens quite a lot and obviously not in the US.PhanLo
- I seriously noticed none of that. Maybe that the water seen from the ferry kinda looked CG.jagara
- I liked it, just seemed low budget on the sets and it threw me off a bitPhanLo
- Ramanisky22
- Loved it. Too bad it's not in theaters anymore, this is a great first date movie.
From action to humour, fright and emotions, it has it all !spl33nidoru - i like trainmilfhunter

- This was a great film.Ianbolton
- A great surprise of a movie, went in blind.elahon
- Agree you expect it to be something and it’s not, a pleasant surprise at every scene, loved it._niko
- Yeah, pretty good. Outstays its welcome with at least 30 minutes, though.jagara
- I really didn't like the god/deer 'showing the way' element. Felt very cheesy, but then again I also found most of them intolerable as characters.Nutter
- None of the characters were likeable. But I suspect that was the point.jagara
- I found them all realistic, whether likeable or not. Something always made me question their authenticity, but you could understand why they were how they were.Ianbolton
- Very moody and ominous, lots of build up, but a disappointing payoff.i_monk

it's fine up to a point, but with painfully generic production design. look to see other sci-fi films bite the style in the future,face_melter - A high quality fan film of 50 years of sci-fifuturefood
- But it was good!futurefood
- It was sick, best sci-fi cyberpunk ai action flick so far, vfx was pretty top notch considering filmed on fx3’s and dollar store budgetprophetone
