just thought about this...and maybe i should stop.
but how long will these comments/posts/pictures stay online.
If you think about it - where will this post be in 10years, your children. grand children - even distant forcestors(?) will be able to read what you've said online - here on qbn.Projections? or will all of this be gone in 34 months?

Internet archaeologists will come across the post in about 10 years time, and will use it to try to work out how we lived before the invention of the iPad.

it depends on many factors.
if QBN is closed, maybe everything on the server will be erased afterward.

All of the images I post will be here until my hosting (or QBN) goes down.

Forever, if not on QBN itself, then in Google's or someone else's archive.
The high Google Visibility here is great for QBN to attract new users - not really all that good for the users when they get here. So very easy to stain one's own character.
Hence my lessening my ties with this place, sadly ('cos I am the exact sort of person who suffers from Google's infinite memory).

It's an important point, I think. I've happened upon years-old threads and see I've added something pertinent, but I've also seen posts I'd written and think, "I must have had a bug up my ass that day."
And that's within the context of knowing this site/community. Out of context it would surely be worse.
So, basically, it looks like I'm never running for public office.

I think about this sometimes too. Actually, this kind of idea was the inspiration for a song that I wrote which I never got around to recording...probably to the benefit of all those around me capable of hearing.
