    i went camping in Mexico, natural hot springs, hiking, 35 mile drive through a dried up lake bed. Ate lobster for $10. Got a huge nail in my tire (not good on a Sunday in Mexico!) Ate mushys. All in all a freakin' awesome weekend.

    Next weekend snowboard Mammoth. Yay!!

    saturday i smelled a 200 year old severed human head, donated a crystal skul from my collection to a museum, then ate pizza and played pinball at the arcade on the way back. tried out some weird new japanese machine i still don't understand how to play...

    on sunday i took a freelance identity job, got high and watched a bunch of documentaries, from which i learned:

    • how to make concrete using limestone
    • how a roman bath works and is built
    • how an egyptian obelisk can be raised
    • that egyptian boats were held together using only rope (no nails!)

    went to barnes and noble and picked up:

    • pricing and ethical guidelines vol 12
    • logo lounge
    • art direction explained, at last
    • letterhead and logo design 9

    then taught my girl how to roll blunts and spent the rest of the evening smoking them,

    I went to Joshua Tree with a lady friend. We had a great campfire friday night and laid in the dirt next to it all night. Saturday it rained from 5am to 9am so it forced us to get creative in the tent. Then we went out for some hikes and did some 4WD roads in the park. Sunday we tried to take this 4WD road that was way to hairy and ended up turning around. Made it home alive to a pitcher of Sierra Nevada and a pizza pie.

    Friday: sushi and beer...
    Saturday: morning mountain ride then paint ball (awesome time) around 8 pm dinner at a friends house and then hit the nightclubs
    Sunday: cry, clean the apartment and then drink some beer and the end of the day.

    Found myself walking home from the West Village to Gramercy at 6am on Saturday morning, watching the sunrise, smoking cigarettes and talking to a girl whose name I will never know. I made out with a really cute 23-year-old girl at one point in the night.

    Saturday I was a worthless piece of shit, but I rebounded for a 4-hour, 8-Sangria brunch the next day, followed by dinner and drinks at Otto. It was a great weekend.

    this weekend was a culinary one.

    i knocked the second restaurant off my "must try these top five mac'n'cheeses in LA" list (it was at swinger's and was good but not as amazing as the dish at pete's). i tried the grilled cheese with goat, cheddar, jack and bacon and of course the mac.n.cheese;

    went to milk for the first time to try their desserts, which i've heard a lot about. i discovered just how deserved its praise was (i had the blondie sundae);

    visited also tried doughboy's for the first time and had the almond-crusted strawberry french toast, and sampled the banana pecan butterscotch pancakes
