here I am, on a sunday, doing work that need to be done by tomorrow morning or I could probably get fired - reeling the loss of my girlfriend just earlier this morning - drinking a bottle of Balvenie 17 yr. Madeira cask.
Don't usually project like this, but I'm heart-broken, kinda drunk and no one close to me is answering their phone. Anyone else working today?

its sunday, a day of rest, hockey and football. Get your shit done ASAP and go relax.

probably right... the work is keeping my mind off other things - and as per usualy - QBN is taking my mind off of work.
Good advice though, thank you.

finish that shit, you can get wasted when your job is not on the line

indeed - though, its just templated poster work. All the hard stuff is already done, just pluggin away images/copy.

be sure to cover your tracks

its a pretty open environment for drinking and the like - not concerned about all that... really just wondering if anyone is playing weekend warrior in the office

sorry to hear about your woman, i went thru a divorce last year after 10 year marriage so i know how you feel, but i suggest to not fall into the hole of skotch bottle drinking.. moderation and some ice.. or water.. dont kill yourself working for this job on your sunday. good luck and happy head sets!!

Scotch = blended Whisky
Balvenie = Single Malt Whiskyhow awkward...

- LOL, try Lagavulin 16 year, you will love it!foz
- Lag is great but very different from Balvenie. May not go for the islay(sp?)scrap_paper
- I assumed Bal was smoky and rich and sweet, what is it like?foz
- its smokey rich and sweet with an oak flavour.e-pill
- also i only just started to enjoy it for my first time just last year. so my knowledge of it is new.e-pill

I'm always working on the weekend but when you work for yourself its all good. I also tend to play video games in the afternoon so it all balances out.
Booze and work is always a good match but double checking your stuff becomes a little more important :)
BTW when you say "loss of your gf" you mean she left you right?
- i was wondering the same. she didn't pass did she? :(SteveJobs

spent a good 8 years working most weekends, the last few were just so I could actually get shit done with no distractions, ie client calls, meetings, colleagues and girlfriend... I always had something by my side, whether it be a six pack, a bottle of wine or a mound of powder...
I haven't worked a weekend in about 4 months, feels a bit strange really, but I could also get used to it...
sorry to hear about you and your girl though, but hey, I'm sure you'll get a lot more work done ;)
- "mound of powder"? I want to work with you!fooler2
- ha, was affordable in a'dam, not so much these days..neue75_bold

Cragganmore is worth a try if it's the sweetness you like, otherwise try Talisker 18, or Highland Park, or Bowmore 12 (more sweet and smoky)

Finish up at the office, then go bang a nineteen year old cocktail waitress to keep up your skills.
