- starting at $1500, lol!Milan
- no pics the the inputs side on the site?
thats like the most important part.
https://www.nvidia.c…moldero - The 90 is the most expensive by a long chalk. The 80 is about $600 and has 3 DV and one HDMI 2.1 ports.face_melter
- ^ i want pics though, I don't read! *spitsmoldero
- 3090 is the new Titan, it's not for everybody. The 3080 and 3070 are insane value, 499 USD for 2080Ti performance (what's currently 1200 USD)ernexbcn
- mac computers are so over priced.... /sjaylarson

^^^ The new line-up looks insane. But, outside of racing games, I'm basically over the PC for playing games.
I've been using the PC exclusively for probably the last 5-6 years. Which is to say: I don't have a latest gen Xbox or Playstation. Most big games have delayed PC releases, or are platform exclusive. Playstation is obviously dominating in the exclusives department.
And, when it finally releases on PC, the games are all fucked up. Read Dead II and Horizon Zero Dawn (I returned this) are perfect examples. Read dead was so buggy on release. They had a full year to test, and it was a disaster on day one.
So, I don't see the point any more. I can buy both new consoles when they drop, and still be under my cost for a PC. Hell, just my GPU cost as much as a console.
When the games run right, they're amazing. But the delays, never releasing on PC, and hassle with getting the settings right aren't worth the trouble.

- is VR not a potential draw for you on PC?
Gotta say, after seeing PS5/XBoxThing footage, I'd not disagree with you any more. Consoles are hella powerful.Nairn - Post-PC era bro; welcome to the next "next" gen.
: )ideaist - a lot of variables when it comes to PC gaming, ex this weekend I bought FallOut 4 VR for like $69 r sum, game was so slow it was unplayablemoldero
- might have to plugin my headset to my more powerful GPU, though for some reason HalfLife Alyx stutters on that GPUmoldero
- these are both Radeon GPU's, should have went Nvidia like my daughters rig i built her, she has no issuesmoldero
- You should swap computers with her. She needs to feel the pain of computer configuration woes. All children should.Nairn
- shes running Ryzen 5, Im running Ryzen 7, I should just jack her GPU lolmoldero
- "Ill trade you 2 video cards for 1"moldero
- Horizon is actually running ok now, after a couple of patches. Fairly solid 60fps with no stuttering. Night and day compared to the initial release.face_melter
- VR isn't really that appealing to me at this point. Just want to play cool games in my recliner.section_014
- It's funny reading back my remark of but yesterday now that nVidia's since spectacurlarly shat on everything
I'm building a new PC in '21.Nairn - For me - when it comes to gaming, I just like sitting at a desk to do it - FPS, RTS etc. I couldn't enjoy that slouched with a controller. Need to be TENSE.Nairn

Biggest generational leap Nvidia has ever done.
The 3070 at 499 bucks is slightly faster than a 1200 bucks 2080Ti.
Exciting times.
- amazing, was wondering how they would approach streaming from SSD to graphics memory. kicks NAVI's ass by the looks of it tookingsteven
- I still think AMD will bring some heat with big Navi, but they won't have something similar to DLSS this year & Nvidia might have a 3080Ti on the chamber tooernexbcn
- I wonder if he has that leather jacket only for presentations or is using a new one every time. So shiny and new going on for yearsmekk
- ^ the jacket was rendered using a 3090 and comp'd in in real-time.face_melter

- Leisure Suit LarryBluejam
- That doesn't even look like Monkey Island to me...I only remember this version
https://www.youtube.…yuekit - I used to love Full Throttle. Neverhood was incredible too.scruffics
- The very first one (pixelated DOS version yuekit posted) was the best. I hated the cartoony look of the later ones.NBQ00

@kingsteven lucky me – I didn´t remember anything from 20 years ago!a_aachen - Awesome game. I bought the whole package a while ago on Steam. Didnt have time. Glad you posted.Beeswax

- anyone try Thimbleweed Park? Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick game from 2017!?kingsteven
- Yes, I've finished Thimbleweed Park. It's pretty funny and has great pixel art, but the story is kinda weird. It's not at the same level as Monkey Island 1 & 2.Milan

So, what level of Toy Story are we able to realise in Real Time these days?Nairn - This marbles demo, while real-time, is running on a machine the size of Saturn. Having something like this on a consumer scale is a ways away.face_melter
