Got one.
Visually and interaction wise, not as good as iPhone. A little jerky like much other Droid phones.
There are some cool features and animations but not needed. Polar Clock is one of the live wall papers but it crashes.
Hardware seem too normal. Not sleek.
The integration of Google service is the winning point. Along with Facebook integration (wonders about how other apps would work and integrate).

The design lacks polish.
- I dont see what Polish people would bring to the Nexus in all honesty :Paanderton

Track ball gets in the way. Some how feels like 2003-5.

damn, so buyers remorse then?
- Yes but I think if use it long enough I would like it due to the Google service.********

The main focal point was about Google service integration. If they had a better hardware to re-enforce this, I think it would have been a winner.

Back to UI design.
There are certain things that they do well but most of it (as you go deeper, it starts to break).
One thing that bothers me is the Back button outside the UI. It is part of the bottom touch buttons. So are Settings / Home / Search.
The area is hard to touch and with external buttons, it need more tactile feedback. Even with light buzz, the area is so small that I am not sure if I hit it.

But what makes Google services more appealing than Apple services in the first place?

Gmail / Map / Google Voice / GChat (Talk)

The closer the competition gets, the more it forces Apple to not rest on their laurels. I am glad to see Google working so hard at this space.

Example: when I make a call, I have options to use Google Voice or carrier. I can set to call long distance on Google Voice only. Google voice message integrated to phone. Contacts are cross linked with Facebook / GChat / Gmail (much like Palm Pre).
- I hate that my HTC hijacked my outlook contacts and replaced with gmail by defaultjamble

I get my gmail / send on my iPhone... I have google maps... google earth...
... no voice or gchat... (those would be nice!)... if it's like any HTC phone... it must feel kinda flimsy
- Those services are much better on Nexus vs iPhone. More options and integration.********

The game changer for most of that the mobile devices are no longer carrier centric. It is more software centric.

- still need the carrier for the data thoughephix

OS:
There is an innate paradigm change for mobile OS. There are app view and desktop. And ability to station widgets. That is good but I would say, Pre has better organization and structure.

Heat:
When charging, it overheats like crazy.

Multi touch:
there is none. Single touch. No pinch or spread.
- scarabin0
does apple have exclusive rights to multitouch?
- No because there is one other Droid phone that has multi touch.********
