Apple magic mouse?

wouldnt mind having the side buttons on it though, great for opening up OVERFLOW

my magic mouse arrived today... used it for about an hour... works well... the swipe is a little odd, and missing the side buttons which i used to like for expose (athough Flash ignores expose anyway!)
it glides nice and smoothly... but that is just down to the two trackers on the bottom of it

That thing looks way too small to be comfortable while doing those multi-touch movements. I just conducted a ten minute test doing finger swipes and shit on my current mouse (which is only slightly larger than this Magic Mouse, but enough to make the difference), and my finger joints hurt from it.
I'm sure Ive and his team did plenty of testing for the usability, but it blows my mind that these designers (of all people) would rather have something that looks cool but is flawed for the masses, than to have something that is functional and ergonomically-aware. I find it very hard to believe this nested functions of this mouse are considered ergonomic within such a confined surface area.
Looking forward to my Apple fanboy friend buying one so that I can try it out for myself—I could be wrong.

the scrolling is great, much more natural that rotating that little ball, as you can use the whole length of the mouse

there are times where i would do minor things with the pen. quick things that is more like a brush stroke. that totally fucks me up with the mouse. if i could just use one finger brushing out edges of a mask etc, directly on the mouse. thats what im talking about

I work in a lot of 3d apps and a 3rd mouse button is a complete necessity. I haven't heard any talk of a 3rd button on this thing....

i picked mine up today.
takes about half a day to acclimate to it.
at first it's no fun because it's awkward to use.
i don't have any hand cramps or nothing. the click is very solid, almost too solid. they could have given it a tiny bit less resistance.
the scroll surface is the best feature by far. definitely better than the mighty mouse ball.

i'm diggin it. we'll see how often the batteries last but at leas now i have something to use the 20 recharge batts i have left from my 360 days. the fucking red ring took it away.

After a day its really amazing, no way would I want a scroll wheel again after using this.

After about a week, I still love it. More comfortable than mighty mouse. Scrolling is great.
Best mouse I've had.
