So I'm going to be moving into a bigger place and I'm going to have an extra bedroom for an office...
So I thought I would go to QBN to see if anyone knows of some good desk for graphic designers...
Any suggestions?

buy the cheapest that works. craigslist, then ikea if there's nothing on cl. all you really need is a big flat surface and maybe some drawers.
buying a $100 desk over a $700 desk = $620 in your pocket.
- i use some kind of office-surplus desk that i got for free. works great.bigtrick
- agreed. I got a bigass ikea desk on CL for 40 bucks. Its been awesome for years.baseline_shift
- errr why did i type $620? i meant $600.bigtrick

- I'm sick of sawhorses, but on a budget you're totally right. Slap some borco on the surface and you're done.ismith
- I'm about to do this. thinking of creating more of a standing work environment. I'm tired of working.Point5
- err, sitting! well, tired of working too.Point5

go to ikea and find a table top in the As-Is section with a little ding and throw some 4x4 legs on casters on that bitch and call it a day!
- I think i spend $25 total on mine. Then when you cut it with an xacto you don't feel bad.capn_ron
- That's what I did. Cost me like $30 altogether.TheBlueOne

I made my own, it's a big thick slab of MDF and has thick fence posts for legs. Gave it a good covering of varnish and it looks better than most of the desks I'd be tempted to buy on my sort of tightwad desk budget.
