It's good.
Moving to a blog format will make them seem more transparent, and busier, and more interesting than their static competitors websites.
it's so clean and open.. refreshing.
Feels more at home with the internet community than trying (or bothering) to rise above it.

It's sure a different direction. Maybe they are looking for different kind of client than Movie/TV studios. Like winnie said, I like the idea of a more transparent, less static site.
Still a sucker for their slick Flash sites though. Cheers.

I like it too, It took me awhile to get used to the new FI site as well. But it's clean and simple. There are some minor usability issues but besides that I think it is cool.

honestly, if that was someone's blog, most people would said its fugly as hell. from a design standpoint, its lazy and ugly (it looks like a blog made by a 10 year old). here's an example of a blog portfolio done correctly (and it's from 2 or 3 years ago):

i'm not really hating on it.... its alright.... it looks more like one of these blog sites.... not a big ass 'high end' firm.
for the work they do you'd kinda expect more 'zing' to their site.
its like some dude telling you how to make money online but his site looks like some 3rd grader in india did it.
