I actually think that when selecting any site from top sites, the transition time between the click and when the page shows up is terribly slow, not sure if that is a bug or what, but makes the entire concept of "top site" not usable for me, at least not at this point.
Maybe when they fix that I can use it more.
It does "look" pretty though...

Tabs along the top take multiple clicks to open. And mine has crashed once so far.

- control-tab toggles thru the tabs clockwise, control-shift-tab toggles counter clock. maybe safari 3 did that too?dopepope
- shft + option + cmd + left or right arrow does the same thing, only it feels more natural to the hand.Gucci

the progress bar is now a progress circle swirly thing where the refresh button is.
- Yup. Little spinner in the bar is a poor substitute. Its becoming more and more "Mobile Safari" like.blackfrancis

I always knew Safari had potential to be the greatest

Clicking the tabs with a wacom tablet sucks. It's impossible to not drag a little bit when you click, so you end up dragging the window instead. Then you get frustrated and rapidfire click and end up minimizing.

Tabs + tablet is an UI fail, that's what they get for playing with basic OS elements. What I don't like is small close buttons (seem bigger than before and... squarer).
Just like with the red/yellow/green dots in every window's corner, Apple pushes you to close windows/tabs with a keyboard shortcut.

^
it does actually take you to a new tab, its just that when the window is empty it shows top sites- just change in preferences to "empty page" for new tabs and you're goldencirquemedia

did they fix the Flash pluggin issue?? a friend told me it works now.
Try this link on your Safari 4: http://www.kidrobot.com/
Does the bottom-right animation ask for the Flash pluggin? Weird, because the main Flash window in the middle works fine, and YES, I have Flash 10 pluggin in my Safari 3.

What I do like about Safari is the command-I Send Page function. Great for email ads, email newsletters, etc. I don't think Firefox can do that, right?
That's not gone in Safari 4, is it?
