umm, i'm not too concerned about it.
like they have staff filtering through the millions of images uploaded, looking for something useful.
- blaw0
Seeing as they compress the bejesus out of every image I don't think you need to worry about that photo of your cat making it onto the 2010 Purina calendar.

All these social sites are scary to me. People are sharing waaaaayyyy to much of their shit.
Except twitter. Maybe.
- Social site is another name for 'People who are too scared to phone their friends and go for a drink'chossy

Yeah, and if you post a logo or poster on there (as in a portfolio) they can't use it as their own either.

Ah but then when you transmit info to facebook via RSS feeds etc, technically you're not uploading anything to facebook, just republishing it.

i'd agree with blueone regarding people sharing way too much info... but that's just certain people being stupid. not facebook's doing.
recent example being a "25 Random Facts About Myself" chain letter that a string of my friends were posting to their profiles, and tagged so that others can view.
... though as a bystander it's been quite entertaining to read these innermost secrets and dirty stories of friends-of-friends and people i don't even know.
- i agree, that 25 random post is entertaining, but not for me!sea_sea

Crap so when I am older and run for office, they are going to dig up all the people I've poked or thrown sheep at.

I found out all about an ex-girlfriends' pregnancy last week. 25 facts. It was odd.

i hate communities and messageboards. or any sort of gathering on internet. i'll never join them or post to them.

as is pointed out elsewhere, law is a lot of fancy cover-your-assery. this is not necessarily a blatant attempt at colossal intellectual property rights grab and more just covering their ass when your data inevitably ends up on some server that they have no control over.

when they say "resolve" it doesnt say - "never" though

what i love is that people think they're remotely interesting enough to have anything of theirs used. we're not. unique snowflakes we may be but there's a shitload of them and nobody cares.
unless you become a celeb. and then, if you're on facebook you're a fool. unless you're chris brown.

I do put some of my best photo's on facebook, but always at reduced res.. so could only be used for web anyway.
hmm who knows, maybe one day they'll delete them all and make us pay to get em back haha
..and what's so damn wrong with facebok?! it just makes it easier to contact yr mates! I cant be bothered phoning people all the time and going round to their place to look at photo's!

oh right, I forgot.. facebook isn't "cool", like qbn. y'see here, it's about design and not going out and getting drunk and all that.
oooooh
- Raniator0
yeah... i'm going to delete my facebook account because i'm fed up of hearing about cool independent club nights and stuff like that. i'd rather miss out, 'cause you know... facebook just ain't cool.
i bet it was cool before before the millions of users joined it, which when you think about it defeats the object of it.
odd how popularity makes things 'shit'.
