Facebook is where all the females you chatted up years ago on myspace reside in your freinds box along with family members.

btw the TOS of Facebook is nothing new,
there's a digg thread about it three years ago

- SHAMAN0
yes but now they changed it to say that any photo or work you might post to share with friends is now theirs to use for whatever they want. so, be careful what photography and design work you put up there.

I watched it the difference is - when you would close an account your information would expire... that is not the case anymore and they hold ownership of your content. before they used your stats and information, now it's anything that you upload including images - and it is new because they just released this new TOS
- GeorgesII0
you're playing with semantics dude,
changing their tos from "we can keep it forever until you leave" to "we will keep it together no matter what you do"
isn't quite different,
if you believe they would have canceled your data upon your departure, you're dreaming
- acescence0
putting stuff in your TOS and actually enforcing it in a court of law are two very different things.
- Anders0
The question is why they would want that in their terms.

Is there any documented cases where facebook has used someones images or quotes for their advertising purposes?
Have they ever used this clause to screw someone out of their own intellectual property?
