GeorgesII - try reading National Geographic or the Scientific Journals International for factual scientific information instead of relying heavily on right wing propaganda from Fox News, Reverend Billy Graham and or Rush Limbaugh.

Why was the global science community clamoring about "Global Cooling" back in the 70's?? It was on the cover of TIME magazine.
I think the research to global warming is going back 25 years, not even 200.

given the fact that by 200 years of measured temperatures, some kilometers of ice spanning from today to 15000 years ago we can safely say that the dramatic rise in temperature since the 70s is our fault. im not gonna take back my harsh statement. did not intend to be an ass hole however. but people denying this because they violently defend their lifestyle really ticks me off. not speaking about george here just generally.

Ice samples taken from both poles in the past two decades clearly and scientifically show the the earths temperature, carbon dioxide, etc, for the past million plus years, get it through your thick heads!

you can try to explain rationally to some people that in 20 years we will be claiming some other theory, this is science, it works by trial and errors,
I never said that man isn't trashing the globe, but I'm pointing to the fact that we do not know enough about the earth inner working to claim that we're influencing his cycles, that I find pompous,

Ok, to take that graph showing the trend from 1920...
thats 80 years ago, show us the graph going back 200 years, 500, 1000, 10000, 100000 - then you will get a sense of the warming and cooling trends that go on, cycles within cycles, within cycles, mostly generated and influenced by the regulations of the sun and the milancovich cycle, equinoxial precesssion,etc.
Carbon dioxide, the greatest scourge of our generation, so we would be lead to believe, is actually a pretty crap greenhouse gas. It's relationship to climatic heating is not well understood, but its relative concentration in the atmosphere can be shown to lag behind global temperature by several hundred years. Think about it... The temperature going up *causes* an increase in carbon dioxide levels, NOT the other way around.
The bedrock of anthopogenic climate heating is based on the fact that naughty humans are disrupting the carbon cycle and causing climate change over the couse of a few decades, but the evidence is absolutely not there for this, nor are there any accurate models of the process.
Please please study some palaeoclimatology before you start legislating against my fuking lightbulbs, or posting your crap on the internet.
