Here's the thing (one of many) why it is a shit movie (and I liked the first one!): They have Jetfire in it. Jetfire as a SR-71 Blackbird. I hear you thinking: NO WAI! Now I tell you that they made Jetfire a bearded geriatric with a cane who speaks with a faux colonial English accent. You can start crying now.

Scourge from the original movie had a beard a french stash and an accent... Jetfire isnt too far off from that so bay took something from the past and used, i like that, besides, jetfire was just a knockoff valkyerie robotech... so bay made somethign original...
too bad you dont like it...

lots of the transformers in the series had facial hair... the junkions all had goatees... too... i think bay took the characters in a nice direction... as a robot designer i am very fond of their originality and the creativeness... the bashing i hear sounds more like jealously...

Bay's most unrestrained and ridiculous to date. The male teenage cinematic equivalent of snorting cocaine off a hooker's ass.
After 149 minutes, I felt like I had been sitting in an aluminum garbage can while someone drummed on the outside with a wrench.
It's the movie to see if the most important person in your life is Optimus Prime. If, like me, you think Optimus Prime is a Roman steakhouse, move on.

So what if he can’t put a coherent series of shots together? Bay’s going for pure sensation, and everyone knows dramatic continuity is for women and the weak.
I've just spent 2 1/2 hours watching a movie and another hour thinking about what I saw and I have no earthly idea what Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is about.
If you want to save yourself the ticket price, go into the kitchen, cue up a male choir singing the music of hell, and get a kid to start banging pots and pans together. Then close your eyes and use your imagination.
If you're lucky - and this is rare - you can figure out which robots are fighting and, eventually, who won.

didnt like it at all.... was it me, or did they only play that linkin park track like a gazillion times during the movie. The minute I saw a disney trailer before the film started I knew what I was in for.

I can't imagine that'll be a good experience Set. I saw 300 at an Imax and it was terrible, all those close up action scenes just get blurred in your vision due to the scale of the whole thing.
And bearing in mind Bay's terrible direction, where you can barely work out what is happening on screen at a normal size cinema I hold little hope for an Imax version.

Not as good as the first, but happy I caught the 1201 show last night. It'll do well and make money; just for that there will almost def be a third.
