as robot eye-candy, i'm all for this franchise...but pretending that these movies are as good as the original series, or interesting with well-written dialogue is laughable. i just hope i don't get too bored between hot robot fight scenes.

i love teh evolution the robots finally made, yes i love the old style boxxy art but this is totally amazing!!! also its right up my art style as well!!

I'll see the next one, but they'd be a lot more watchable if Bay would knock off all his stupid humor beats in the script. References to "bling," Optimus saying "my bad..", and all the scenes with Anthony Anderson. The dated, terrible jokes really bring it down.

this will probably be the only michael bay production i'll watch anytime soon, and on dvd at that...i'll never forgive him for those dramatic, cheesy reverse-pans or stars. like they're turning their face one way while the camera is slowly revolving around the opposite way, while some nausea-inducing music is playing and planes/robots/ufos are flying overhead. usually at sunset.
he really is a one-note director and that note is loud, obnoxious and pathetically lame.

^speaking of the Micheal Bay low-angle reverse pans, we had "The Island" on recently, my wife said "Jesus, why does this look exactly like Bad Boys and Transformers?" I said "well, let's count the pans."
Lost count after the first 15 minutes or so.- HAHA! yeah if he didn't lay it on quite so thick i could stomach it. pearl harbor is the worst at that.sputnik2

anything with giant fucking robots gets my approval and I don't see how you can judge a franchise based on toys and comics... I love how no one seems to enjoy anything anymore and feels the need to critique it. Enjoy the action or stfu. and ALL HAIL MEGATRON.

it's a movie about a range of toys. ffs, if you don't like it don't watch it. it's michael bay ffs!?!? it's not like people call these films art or anything, it's a bit of mindless action fluff. enjoy it for what it is or don't.
also, the original cartoon was neither well written nor an example of high quality cartoon story telling - in my opinion. you enjoyed them as a kid sure, but let's not talk up what were basically extended adverts to sell toys and lunchboxes.
