Trump statements, slow start put pivotal Southwest at risk
DENVER (AP) — Once a swing state in presidential elections, Colorado has teetered on the brink of becoming solidly Democratic. Donald Trump may have pushed it over the edge.
Trump's disparaging words about Mexicans, negative comments about women and weak campaign organization have punctuated the state's shift from a nip-and-tuck battleground to one that's Democrat-friendly. For the first time in more than 20 years, there are now more registered Democrats in the state than Republicans.

Apparently ignorance of the law is a legitimate excuse for the Clintons.
"Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information"
- cool story bruh. fyi its not ILLEGAL to be careless. unless there is clear intent to distribute information, which there wasnt, shes free to go!CygnusZero4
- CygnusZero43
Im so glad shes walking from this. These fucking morons on here and everywhere else like on FB just took a huge L today, and it was glorious, which they knew was coming anyway because it was very clear she didnt break any laws. They dont actually indict people for just being careless lmao

Here's the full statement. Here's an interesting quote...
"To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now."
Statement by FBI Director James B. Comey on the Investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s Use of a Personal E-Mail System

oh my you are so virtuous today :) lol
virtue signalling
Saying you love or hate something to show off what a virtuous person you are, instead of actually trying to fix the problem.
Jane: "Wow! I hate Fox News! They're so evil and they hate women!"
John: "Why don't you actually do something instead of just virtue signalling about it?"

I'd like to extend what IRNlun6 posted from http://www.navytimes.com/story/m…
Bryan Nishimura admitted to downloading classified briefings and digital records onto his personal electronic devices. He carried the materials off base and brought them back to the U.S. when his deployment ended.
Hilary did the exact same thing... over and over and over again by sending / receiving classified shit via her personal device (her server). All that content was to be kept on / connected to Gov servers at all times... just like Nishimura she opted to use her own device and BROKE THE LAW.
Just as Shrillary had no intention of distributing the classified material "An FBI search of Nishimura's home turned up classified materials, but did not reveal evidence he intended to distribute them."
So... both stored classified shit on their own personal device and kept it offsite (not on a Gov server) but had no intention of distributing it.
Nishimura "was sentenced to two years of probation and a $7,500 fine, and was ordered to surrender his security clearance. He is barred from seeking a future security clearance."
Shrillary on the other hand will more than likely be your next preezy, America...
... ridiculous.
Now gimmie my DV's!!!
- lol, you actually thought she would be indicted, didn't you?monospaced
- mono really likes debauchery of all that is decent in the world. bravo 360 about face and its been only how long after bernie?yurimon
- not at all, mono—not for one second did I think she'd be indicted—I've said more than once on here that she skates repeatedly (and helps bill do the same)PonyBoy
- What are you talking about yuri?monospaced
- What she has is very good lawyers and plenty of money. He likely plead guilty to avoid a drawn out process, which judging by this case he may have gotten off.IRNlun6

"In looking back at our investigations into mishandling or removal of classified information, we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts. All the cases prosecuted involved some combination of: clearly intentional and willful mishandling of classified information; or vast quantities of materials exposed in such a way as to support an inference of intentional misconduct; or indications of disloyalty to the United States; or efforts to obstruct justice. We do not see those things here."
Precedent would indicate that there never was any chance of this going to a court.

"For months, conservative media figures have attacked Clinton, baselessly accusing her of wrongdoing for receiving State Department emails on her private email account while secretary of state. On February 4, reports emerged that Colin Powell and aides to Condoleezza Rice also used private email accounts when they served under former President George W. Bush, and some of their emails similarly contained information that was retroactively classified."
The only purpose of this investigation has been to give a stick to Republicans with which to beat Clinton with.
- you forgot to add that the attacks were not slanderous. she was aware of protocols, just ignored then. willingly didnt follow procedure for notifying the state.yurimon
- Private email account? how about private email SERVER. She kept the server at her home.PonyBoy
- stalled investigations, Its pretty obvious that she would have paid the price if she was a regular person. + for moron army of virtue signalers on here. imagineyurimon

- And don't forget, Republicans deleted tens of thousands of emails stored on those servers.BusterBoy

ITT: legal experts
Has anyone bothered reading what someone who is not invested in Trump or Hillary winning and has knowledge of the actual legal issues involved has to say about this?
- I haven't by the way, just wondering :/yuekit
- she broke the law, severity is based on intent but im sure it a higher level clearance then the navy guy. thats the only argument.yurimon
- Also, people who do this loose their security clearance. thats about it i found out.yurimon
- All I know is when I read about subjects I know a lot about in the media, it's amazing how much they get wrong.yuekit
- no legal expert. i just read the full articles. her server was actually bill clintons which was set up by the government after he left office...kona

it says "anyone".
once you break it, its a crime regardless of intent. only argument facing the issue is how severe. it would also implicate everyone who communicated with her especially if they knew. this includes all the top usual household names you so grown to love. might spark a constitutional crises because of the level all the way to the top. mean you would hear alot of testimony.
You loose clearance insta never to get it back.
- its considered gov property what ever her communications were. no position for her to delete or select what is labeled private. this adds to the legal fire. ifyurimon

- "or any prohibited place" same case as the navy officer but more vast.yurimon
- you have to read the rest. the statute has elements. its obvious why you would have private server, you have to observe the whole case. mingled email personal, yurimon
- gov, on private server where you know doesnt have the same security is a no brainier considering the briefing for sec clearance. they not that dumb.yurimon
- maybe the main difference being that clintion's a civilian and a navy officer isn't, and thus falls under military law, which is harsher than civlian law?Greedo

"Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information."
They found an unapproved, un-secured private server, with highly classified information. As well as Mrs. Clinton and her staff routinely sharing intelligence through un-secured channels. The FBI directors statement says as much so those specific details are undeniable at this point.
They didn't find clear evidence of any intention to violate laws. The Secretary of State, fourth in the Presidential line of succession, and very likely the next President, was just "extremely careless." Comforting.

Chilcot Report is (finally) released today. Expect massive spinning, clouds of bullshit, and much wailing and gnashing of teeth as Blair weasels his way out of it as much as possible.
- crikey. not quite the whitewash predicted if his introduction is anything to go by.Fax_Benson

"The circumstances in which it was decided that there was a legal basis for UK military action were far from satisfactory"
"UK joined Iraq invasion "before peaceful options for disarmament exhausted" - when military action was "not last resort," Sir John says"
"It is now clear that policy on Iraq was made on the basis of flawed intelligence and assessments. They were not challenged, and they should have been."
"Mr Blair had been warned, however, that military action would increase the threat from Al Qaeda to the UK and to UK interests. He had also been warned that an invasion might lead to Iraq's weapons and capabilities being transferred into the hands of terrorists."
i.e. jail Blair and Bush for war crimes.

Everyone knows Blair lied through his teeth and pandered to Bush but i'm hoping that Jack Straw is pulled into all of this - the man is a fucking demon and a prime example of what happens when someone gets a sniff of power and influence. As Home Secretary he put so many skeletons into so many closets it's not even funny.
- Forgot about that fucker. Yeah bring him out!mugwart
- ^ The govt. have spend a *lot* of money keeping him out of court in a civil case regarding rendition. He's as nasty as they come.face_melter
- kingsteven2
hopefully it will discredit blair and put an end to his continued influence in foreign policy, but i think he's got off lightly... all individual responsibility for the invasion is somewhat vindicated by the sheer amount of MPs that voted for armed invasion... the report says there is no evidence that blair directly influenced MPs, just that the evidence was there (and public) and they chose to ignore it on a hunch... and oh shit, we voted for them <shame trombone> and the public are the only ones that can pin it on the system <brexit bagpipes> nobody cares about a report on the collective madness of a politically homogenised crowd of elected representatives, because <lone tuba in distance>
