Donald Trump praises Saddam Hussein for killing terrorists

RALEIGH, N.C.—Donald Trump offered surprising, if qualified, praise for former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein at a rally here Tuesday night, describing him as “a bad guy” who also happened to be good at killing terrorists.

Speaking to about 2,000 people at a rally in what is expected to be a battleground state this fall, the presumptive Republican nominee had been trashing President Obama’s handling of terrorism and offering a critique of his likely Democratic rival Hillary Clinton’s ability to keep the country safe,
when he veered off written notes.

“Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right?” Trump declared. “He was a bad guy, really bad guy. But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them rights. They didn’t talk. They were terrorists. It was over.”

There you have it folks. Under Trump there would be no due process. They think you're a terrorist, your house gets napalmed. And why stop there? They think you're a Muslim, drone strike. They think you're a rapist, firing squad as you walk out your door. They think you're a hacker, they send in the MIT Robot Dog to stomp you to mush.

Congrats assholes. A dictatorship is upon us.

If you legitimize the state, you deserve Hillary Clinton and/or Donald Trump and/or the reincarnation of Hitler for all I care. The state is not a legitimate institution, all you did was simply inherit it, you have been given absolutely no choice in your participation, you can only conform to something you have no control over.

Most Corrupt Ever? No Question Says NY Mag, It’s Donald Trump

If Trump’s crooked business dealings just ended at shaking down regular Americans across the country in get-rich-quick schemes, it would be gross enough.

But the presumptive Republican nominee for President took that a thousand steps further.

Trump’s nightmarish casino swindling left longtime employees without healthcare since the fourth and final bankruptcy, leading to an ongoing worker’s strike at Trump’s Taj Mahal extending through the 4th of July, while Trump himself made millions off the hotel’s staff and creditors’ pain with the same self-dealing thievery his political campaign exhibits today.

It’s no coincidence either that the Republican discarded his female-journalist-bullying former campaign manager, former cop Corey Lewandowski for the dirtiest Republican insider he could find: Paul Manafort.

Republican presidential campaign manager Paul Manafort’s major business interests lie in working with pro-Russian Ukrainian politicians (forced from office for hoarding billions in state funds), and he also ran the racist “Southern Strategy” for Ronald Reagan’s 1980 presidential campaign which launched in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

New York took this all a step further calling out the Republican as a ‘Manchurian Candidate’ and naming the the adult with a hand inside the little-fingered, blond toupeed Trump puppet as none other than Vladimir Putin.

    • I don't see how this is news to people, I mean before this election did anyone actually think this guy was an honest business man? Did anything he did...sofakingback
    • make you think he was an honest and sincere human being? Its so obvious he's a fuckin con and low level crook.sofakingback

I knew it would come to this, but finally had a friend who is a fellow democrat unfriend me on Facebook. It's really telling that two people who largely agree on policies can arrive at that end. I called him out on being exactly the kind of person who he derides on a regular basis (extreme conservatives, people who don't look at facts, etc.) and he's made in the same mold. An ardent, unapologetic fan of Hillary Clinton who can't for the life of him admit that she did a multitude of things unbefitting of someone running for president. Thinks that every single second of the investigations into Benghazi, her emails, and other things are a complete witch hunt. Often says "I look at the bigger picture, not the small things" as his defense as if that's a valid defense of his love with Clinton.

We got into a heated conversation online yesterday, he pulled the incredibly immature "I'm older than you and don't have time for this bullshit" and I called him on that too, as if his age has any relevance in the matter. I know 20-somethings with more common sense than him, and he's in his 40s. All because he was fuming that the State Department is going to open an investigation into the email situation, he couldn't fathom it, and I pasted the exchange between Trey Gowdy and John Comey in which Comey admitted several things Clinton had been untruthful about. But this guy can't handle it, short-circuits, and starts rambling about Trump and how he has to be stopped.

It's kind of sad to be honest, but amazing that, like I said, two people who largely agree on most things can't have an honest conversation.

    • old people are the problem, down where Im at, 99% of the expats are retired and 100% are for trump or hillary, when I wear my sanders shirt all i get is shitmoldero
    • It's unfortunate as well because we never really got into the controversial donations to the Clinton Foundation that are probably going to be investigated next.mg33

    • Yuri's been trolling all sides for so long that he's just confused period.moldero
    • mono, once again this a moral dilemma in which people lack concepts of morality or critical thinking. its that bad.yurimon
    • i think momo is the person to ask about this problem. he seems to know from his own life, why it moral to pick hillery.yurimon

Has anyone here volunteered at a polling station?

Since my vote was disappeared in the primary I am much less stressed about voting but more engaged with the election process. I think my experience puts me in a good place to volunteer and help manage expectations. Might be helpful for people to hear "verify that your ballot was counted on the elections website" as they got a sticker.

    • TYT did a 45 minute doc on the polling stations about what happened in CA, it was decent, it's on YouTubemoldero
    • ^ that was an intense video, I look forward to seeing all that with my own eyes.R_Kercz
