Ha a coworkers wife is switching over insurances right now. And she has to take some epaleptic(sp?) medicine. Her copays usually $30 bucks. So she thought damn maybe i'll have to pay $60. Turns out it costs $4. HAHA. Insurance is so fucked. Wish jobs would lose it so people create more knowledgeable demand on what they need/want. I would love to just pay for detrimental tornado health care insurance. But markets just to skewed that u must have insurance from job...

As President Obama and Congress brace to battle over how to reduce chronic annual budget deficits, Americans overwhelmingly say that in general they prefer cutting government spending to paying higher taxes, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
Yet their preference for spending cuts, even in programs that benefit them, dissolves when they are presented with specific options related to Medicare and Social Security, the programs that directly touch the most people and also are the biggest drivers of the government’s projected long-term debt.
Nearly two-thirds of Americans choose higher payroll taxes for Medicare and Social Security over reduced benefits in either program. And asked to choose among cuts to Medicare, Social Security or the nation’s third-largest spending program — the military — a majority by a large margin said cut the Pentagon.
While Americans are near-unanimous in calling deficits a problem — a “very serious” problem, say 7 out of 10 — a majority believes it should not be necessary for them to pay higher taxes to bridge the shortfall between what the government spends and what it takes in. But given a choice of often-discussed revenue options, they preferred a national sales tax or a limit in the deduction for mortgage interest to a higher gasoline tax or taxing employer-provided health benefits.

If we could stop world policing, and phase out medicare and SS, and lose any tax incentives promoting job offered healthcare and let market get back to the regular individual level of insurance, like car insurance, shit would be a lot better. Makes me wonder how much my car insurance would cost if the job started to provide based on lump sum of +50 plus peoples historys and shit.

Are you suggesting, as the Fox article seems to suggest that Iraq is still incredibly deadly, and that the President's plan to withdraw troops is a mistake? Or are you perhaps suggesting that we should have been out of there a long time ago since we did not find any WMDs there, and you believe that a better use of $720 billion per day would be to put people in America to work, pay down the deficit and provide universal health care?
If you think we should be there, then you'd clearly accept the deaths as a cost of the war. If you don't think we should be there, then you'd be for the President's desire to pull the troops out. So which is it?
Of course, the Fox article suggests that these killings make last month "one of the deadliest days for the U.S. in months"...all while disregarding that the annual U.S. death toll last year in Iraq was not 904 (2007), not 822 (2006), not 846 (2005), and not even 486 (2003). No, last year the U.S. death toll was 60.
So apparently, if you want less U.S. deaths in Iraq, be thankful for President Obama. Because since his election and decision to withdraw troops from Iraq, the death toll has continued to plummet.
So chill, please enlighten this moron, and clarify your intentions. But if that's too much to ask, then I'd be good if you could just please stop posting misleading, factually incorrect articles. You might be surprised by how much you'd learn in one day by thinking clearly.
