police chief resignations or turn overs
    POLICE CHIEFS RESIGNING

    1. Gaithersburg, MD Gaithersburg Police Chief John King resigned with little explanation last week, leaving his colleagues and community members wondering what happened.

    2. Guttenberg, IA Police Chief Resigns After Seven Months on the Job, no reason

    3. Harrisburg, PA - Richard Pickles retires after serving a month as Harrisburg police chief

    4. Culpeper, VA When Scott Barlow announced two weeks ago he would step down from his job as chief of police with the town of Culpeper, it caught a lot of people off guard, including us.

    5. Carbondale, IL - Police Chief Resigns, no reason given

    6. Austin, MN - Several Austin City Council members said they were "shocked" by Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp's resignation Tuesday morning.

    7. Jonesboro, GA - The City of Jonesboro's new police chief has resigned, five weeks after being named to the top job.

    8. Manassas, VA - found this quote: "I hope the Chief enjoys his retirement. Between his service in the Secret Service, Fairfax and Manassas, he's earned it."

    9. West Covina, CA - Tolich, a 21-year veteran of the force, retired nine years before he was eligible for full retirement benefits, Finance Director Thomas Bachman said.

In an email Tolich sent to members of the department, he tells fellow officers that a personal matter involving him and his family led to the sudden departure.

These were either benign stories or little info given.
(Bearing in mind that a seasoned cop could probably make a pretty believable alibi for leaving.)

GRAND RAPIDS -- Former President George W. Bush was by turns affable, relaxed -- and deadly serious in his local appearance Wednesday.
"Yeah, we water-boarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," Bush said of the terrorist who master-minded the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington. He said that event shaped his presidency and convinced him the nation was in a war against terror.
"I'd do it again to save lives."

    Dear Fred:

For those of us who do not see exactly what you are suggesting, would you mind explaining it?

I am being quite serious and open-minded here. I would just like to see, in your own words, what conclusion you are arriving at from this string of information. From there, I think we'll be able to address your specific thoughts appropriately.

    by E.J. Dionne Jr.

It should become the philosophical shot heard 'round the country. In a remarkable speech that received far too little attention, former Supreme Court justice David Souter took direct aim at the conservatives' favorite theory of judging.

Souter's verdict: It "has only a tenuous connection to reality."

    Lucky Orphan.

There are several things that people have not paid attention to that I laid out in my previous post above.

    1. Check out the GOVT officials around the world that have resigned in the last 3 months or so and not just regular guys, prime ministers and presidents.

The polish Govt was wiped out yet their were no bodies on the ground. Watch the video below. The guy who took the video was stabbed. He was later attacked and killed in the hospital.

    2. Over 170 Fortune 500 CEO's have resigned in the last year and half. Think about this? Unheard of. The key word is resigned.

    3. Over 50 Police chiefs have resigned.

Now, if you ask me what it means? I don't know. I would say they're trying to hide from a future event or prepare for a future event. But I can assure you this many top officials, corporate heads and police chiefs have never resigned in a one year period, ever.

Please watch this video if you haven't.

Who are the people in the background?

They were over 90 people on the plane, where are the bodies?

Normally, GOVT officials are forbidden to all fly on the same plane encase their is some type of accident or attack. The chain of command is normally broken up to insure the govt continues.

    • the video below has been enhanced from the original which you can find at the same channel

Hi Fred, I have a few questions:

    Re: Fortune 500 Resignations:

Given the financial industry melt-down, is it not without reason to suggest that many fortune 500 companies would have a changing of the guard after discovering that their executives exposed their company to unnecessary risk due to poor money management?

Even if these executives were not let go due to poor mgmt, is it not within reason that there are many other possible reasons for which they would have resigned? (The corporation I work for is a Fortune 1000 firm, and we had a changing of the guard in that year as well. But it was for entirely legitimate reasons.)

Are you certain that this kind of turnover, or something close to it, has never happened in history? If so, do you have data to support this conclusion?

    Re: Plane crashes...

When a plane crashes, especially into the ground (as we saw on 9/11 in Pennsylvania), the force of impact combined with the great amount of fuel usually results in no bodies being recovered.

Is the practice of having gov't officials not on the same plane when they fly an international standard, or is just practiced in the US? Do you know for a fact that Poland always did that except in this instance?

    Re: Police Chiefs:

Have you looked into any of the individual cases to see if there are legitimate reasons for their resignations?

Given the sheer number of police chiefs in this country, is it not possible that they would be resigning for legitimate reasons? I mean, #21 on your list is Navarre, Ohio. That village has 1440 people in their population. #53 is Watford City, North Dakota—population 1435. #18 is Britt, Iowa—population 2052. Sure, there are cities like Miami and LA, but those are in the minority. Furthermore, I am skeptical that the chiefs of police from most of these cities would be involved in anything so monumental.

    But perhaps I'm overlooking something?

    • Don't mess up his paranoia with rational conjecture, man. You'll hurt his cortexes and shit.TheBlueOne
    • I'm actually quite interested in how he answers my questions...luckyorphan

It's looking more and more unlikely Republicans win back the Senate this year. There are so few seats up for grabs that winning depends on winning all the seats they're expected to, plus every single one of a handful of races that are really close.

Unfortunately, even with all the shit that is going on, oil spill, economy etc. in almost all those races the Republican is losing ground not gaining it. Grabbed these from 538.com but they are just the averages of all polls for these races:

One of the bigger deals for them would have been winning in Connecticut, but Chris Dodd retired and now Blumenthal is leading by 20+ points, despite the whole Vietnam thing.

The most amazing example is that even Harry Reid who was 10-20 points behind and looked like he was going to lose for sure is now actually ahead in Nevada.

The betting market, Intrade, has Republican chances at 12.5%.

Not winning the Senate means the Republicans won't really be able to accomplish jack shit even if they win the House (which itself is kind of a stretch although there are way more seats involved). Interesting stuff.

Uh huh. I see. Please tell me more about this "racism" that offends you so.

But, so let's play your little game.

So, we can say the "jews had homecourt advantage" then to Israel?

Let's see...who "beat there asses" then?

    A. The Muslims, who ruled it and built it over 1191 years.

    B. The Egyptians, who ruled it as a vassal state for several hundred years in the second millennium BCE.

    C. The Italians, who ruled it about 444 years until the fall of the Roman Empire in 450 CE.

    D. The Iranians, who ruled it for 205 years under the Achaemenids, for three years under the Parthians (insofar as the last Hasmonean was actually their vassal), and for 15 years under the Sasanids.

    E. The Greeks, who ruled it for over 160 years if we count the Ptolemys and Seleucids as Greek. If we count them as Egyptians and Syrians, that would increase the Egyptian claim and introduce a Syrian one.

    F. The successor states to the Byzantines, which could be either Greece or Turkey, who ruled it 188 years, though if we consider the heir to be Greece and add in the time the Hellenistic Greek dynasties ruled it, that would give Greece nearly 350 years as ruler of Jerusalem.

    G. There is a historical case for an Iraqi claim to Jerusalem based on the Assyrian and Babylonian conquests, as well as perhaps the rule of the Ayyubids (Saladin’s dynasty), who were Kurds from Iraq.

Seems like the Jews go their ass kicked alot of times, what makes their claim stronger than the American Indians. Hell the Indians only got beat once.

O Canada, the Cons are trying to reform copyright laws again:
    http://www.michaelgeist.ca/conte…

    • ISPs would be required to keep traffic logs and forward copyright infringement claims to downloaders
    • Non-commercial copyright infringement liability would be capped at $5000/claim
    • Circumventing any form of encryption/DMR/"digital lock" would be illegal, obviating the only good things in the bill:
    • Time- and format-shifting would be formally legalized
    • Making a single backup copy would be formally legalized
