I hope you both find new "opportunities" soon.

^^so... are you referring to death or a new job?
Either way you're a prick for wishing bad tidings upon folks you merely disagree (and can't keep up with).
- DrBombay0
One day when you both turn 62 maybe you'll lose your eyesight and the ability to work in this industry anymore and you can call it an "opportunity" when you are unemployable in what you have been doing your entire life.
- haha grow the fuck up. You're wishing ill fate on people in a graphic design forum. ?!?!?!mathinc
- Why are you even in this conversation, toady?DrBombay
- Umm.. who is 'both of you'? Maybe I mistakenly thought you were talking to Kev and I?mathinc
- Maybe you meant Kev and ukit.. or Kev and BonSeff.. because if you meant Kev and I, then that means you entered memathinc
- into the conversation... so to answer your question.. you are why I'm in this conversation.mathinc
- You were commenting on it well b4 that, ya liar.DrBombay
- Oh man follow me through this. You wished ill will on Kev and I. I commented on your wishes. You asked me why I'm commenting.mathinc

Interesting how you see that steep drop off in 64, the year the Civil Rights Bill was passed.
- mathinc0
"I'm sure those ignorant minorities will figure it out...any day now"
Man honestly you're kind of a on-the-surface, can't read between the lines sort of guy aren't you? So you post a graph of the black vote for the president.. You do get that that's racism right? That black people only voting for the black candidate is in fact, racism. Just the same as whites only voting for a white candidate. Further more, I think it's liberals who rely on the race card, which is what Kev was saying, that makes them racist. If liberals didn't constantly try to position themselves as the protector of minorities I would feel differently but there is merit to the position that white liberals are extremely racist. It's just that your definition of racism is too narrow to understand that. Racism to you means, denying someone a job, charging them more for things, telling racist jokes, all of these are ugly ugly things. But racism is a far more broad problem and I do believe that the constant reminder that they are inferior, and need protection to survive.. is racism. Treat people equally, fucking period.
- haha I read the graph wrong. Doh! Okay back to doing what I do best.. work. :(mathinc
- The Obama election isn't on that chart.DrBombay
- Yeah DrObvious did you read my note? About.. not.. reading... the graph right?mathinc

Hey, this is interesting, looks like Democrats will actually vote on repealing DADT this week
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/20…
So by Tommy's logic...liberals are the most homophobic people in America
- mathinc0
^^ actually, you're wrong again. What does repealing the DATD do? It says, 'we're all equal.' Which is a damn good thing. DADT was bullshit. Thanks ukit!
Love this quote:
'But Rep. Jared Polis, an openly gay Democrat from Colorado, said most Americans "recognize that on the battlefield, it doesn't matter if a soldier is lesbian, gay or straight. What matters is they get the job done for our country."':)
- monkeyshine0
Honestly, I never understood DADT either...so stupid and yet so appropriate from the president who infamously applied this policy to his private life.
- hahaha...in fairness, I don't think he could have pulled it off back thenukit
- ukit0
And what did the Civil Rights Act do Tommy? Same thing! Said it was illegal to discriminate.
I think you might be confusing the Civil Rights Act with affirmative action programs which were passed later.
- mathinc0
^^ Maybe you missed my point so I'll boil it down before I seriously need to get work done.
Civil Rights Act was a great thing. The debate now is if it's time to lift the mandated laws regarding equality and say, 'we're fully equal.' Mind you, I'm not really for this yet. But the point is that as long as there are laws mandating our equality then we're still saying that, 'we're not equal, we need a law to be equal.' Get the difference? I'm not confused by the Affirmative Action btw, and I'm not sure how you ended up with that conclusion.
Imagine if your parents we're required by law to give you a present every Friday. Then imagine if your parent just gave you a present every Friday because they wanted to. Yeah? See the mental difference? I know this is pretty flimsy, just trying to get to the point of this because I think there is merit in stepping back those laws at some point and really giving minorities the equality they deserve.
Okay honestly I'm out, I have wayyyy too much shit to do. Respectfully yours.
- This is an ideal that will not happen in reality, sadly. We want everyone to treat each other well, but...luckyorphan
- ukit0
And what if instead of someone giving you a present, you hired someone to do a job? Should we leave it up to them whether to actually do their job? Should they have the freedom to say, fuck you, I hate blacks/gays/Mexicans/etc, I'm taking your money. Obviously that would be illegal, right? And I don't think there is any kind of principle there that would make a law against taking someone's money offensive to you.
If you think about it, that's a much better analogy than the one you described. We all contribute to society through work, taxes, and other means. And it seems logical that we should all be able to get something back from that, without the person we are giving the money to discriminating against us.
- ukit0
I mean, you're basically telling me that even though I pay taxes and support my local government, it should be the town's right to pass a law so that only white people can vote.
What was the original tea party about again?
- I'm convinced you read the words but don't really digest them. Kind of like a political autism.mathinc
- Do you really believe that people would vote for that? Do you really think that anyone would go back to laws that statemathinc
- that only white people are people again? If that did happen, could you imagine the outrage that would ensue?mathinc
- Could you imagine how many white people, hispanics, blacks would be in that town in a heart beat?!?!mathinc
- Ever been to the deep south?DrBombay
