..and WOOT, there it is...
"CBS news reports: South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, in explaining his mysterious disappearance of past days, admits to having an affair."
So "hiking the appalachian trail" = "banging his girlfriend".
- At least he came out and admitted it rather than lying about it as Bill Clinton did.********
- Still living in the past I see.TheBlueOne
- Just saying.********
- How about that John Ensign?DrBombay
- 'Still living in the past'... haha and yet no one tells Rick to stfu about 2000 eh?tommyo

- And how you were supposedly for the iraq war and goat fucking and such.kona
- haha exactly. I think I'm just Ricks strawman. He also likes to tell me about what a big dumb jock I am.tommyo

- Yeah cuz I brought THAT up recently kona, hahahaDrBombay
- No hard feelings. I tried being cool with Tommy too, but he made it impossible.DrBombay
- Cause you're a liar. I don't make friends with liars. Aight Private Pyle? ;)tommyo
- Here is the thing about Tommy, he jocks me like crazy and lets everyone else who shares my opinions pass.DrBombay
- Prove I lied... I remember all of these things.DrBombay
- That I supported the Iraq war, that I said Jesse Jackson (and whoever else you said I mentioned) was a racist.tommyo
- You can't just throw shit like that out there, then stand by it when it's 100% bullshit. Makes you a liar.tommyo
- Find that thread about spike lee and katrina.DrBombay
- When Clinton lied, nobody diedJosev
- hah now I need to go prove you wrong? Sorry, that's on you. As of right now, you're the liar. I've got actual work to do.tommyo
- I don't owe you a fucking thing, bubble head.DrBombay
- You don't dictate shit to me, so gfy.DrBombay
- You're the one spreading lies, or did you forget that part? Want me to start making up shit you said and then stand firm on it?tommyo
- They aren't lies. That's the thing.DrBombay
- Yeah, it is beyond the ability of the imagination to think that you would think Spike Lee or Jesse Jackson was racistDrBombay
- After your display in this thread the other day. Gimme a fucking break, Tommy.DrBombay
- I refuse to scroll through this note anymore.DrBombay
- You sir are a complete fucking whacktard idiot.tommyo

And double HAHAHAHA!
"If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all," a dispatch from the official Korean Central News Agency said."
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/as_ko…
Meanwhile the Chinese are telling N Korea to STFU:
"BEIJING (Reuters) – China shares the region's "serious concerns" about a nuclear North Korea, a senior Chinese military officer said after talks with Pentagon officials that also sought to ease friction at sea between the two big powers."

It's now being reported that today may be the bloodiest day of them all in the streets of Tehran.
- Didn;t you want to bomb them a few months back?DrBombay

So, TruthHurts, you never got back to us with what you think we should be doing to support the Iranian protestors? Can we get you a gun and drop you off in a square overthere? Should we send the marines in? What?
- I just wish that Obama would raise a far more powerful voice like Reagan or Roosevelt did. I believe that the Iranian people want and need this right now.********
- want and need this right now.********
- Yeah they need the US to be the scapegoat for them, you are a strategic genius.DrBombay
- ..and this is despite the Iranians saying thank you to Obama for his current course of action.TheBlueOne
- The Iranians in the streets that is...TheBlueOne
- The more he talks the more I am convinced he has a learning disability.********

Man, that's brutal. Sanford and Ensign were considered two possible candidates for '12.
Not the most charismatic guys out there, but lacking the obvious drawbacks of Romney or Palin.
- The fundies will not vote for romney, they just won't.DrBombay
- Yeah..that whole Mormon thing doesn't play with the RW evangelicals mostly...TheBlueOne
- And Palin.. holy shit what a mess that bitch is. It will be interesting to see what the Pubs do in '12. They got no one.tommyo
- They're gonna have no one left except that kid that spoke at CPACukit
- There is a certain part of the GOP who loves that chick for some reason.DrBombay
- Who knows.. if they put that dipshit on the ticket they'll find out how fucked they are.tommyo
- ukit0
"According to Sanford's travel reports, he spent $21,488 on a trip to Brazil, Argentina, and China. However much of that can be allocated to his trip to Argentina, it still means taxpayers likely spent thousands on his affair."
And this is the guy who was making a "heroic" stand against accepting stimulus money for welfare and food stamps. Ironically, he got crushed by the SC legislature on exactly that issue right before vanishing.
- all the R candidates for 12 are getting knocked off, Palin vs. Letterman, Ensign's cheating & Sanford in "Argentina"?...robotron3k
- robotron3k0
I wonder what the real story is on Sanford.
He basically got his ass munched my someone/something very pOwerful in the government for not taking the bale out money from the Feds/US Gov/Banks.
He was told, take the money, sit down and shut up.
- Yeah...clearly the thing you made up off the top of your head...much more likely than what the guy himself just said he did.ukit
- I have a nice used tinfoil hat for sale. Last used in the Bush years.TheBlueOne
- Follow the money...
( I have no idea how that even relates, just seemed smart) :Ptommyo

While you are all bashing Pailin and the rest (which is shameful, calling her a bitch and so on...), keep in mind that Obama has done absolutely nothing, except potentially damage the USA in the long run. He's got time to turn things around, but he actually seems incapable. That's the truth. Sorry to have to break it to you.
- Is he incapable or is he damaging the country?DrBombay
- You need to go back to school because you keep mixing up basic things like "fact" and "opinion".TheBlueOne
- There are so many straw men in that argument it's like a giant gay hay stack orgy.TheBlueOne
- < haha TBO made a good funny metaphor! I like.tommyo
- TH, why didn't you just come back as GetRefresh if you were just going to write the exact same stuff?? Seems pointlesstommyo
- Why do you keep referring to GetRefresh???********
- Come on meow.tommyo
- DrBombay0
So you criticize the President, but no one should dare criticize Palin. You are not a very good troll.
- Khurram0
Hi guys!
It's me. I used to frequent these forums a long time ago but haven't been bothered much lately.
I used to talk a lot of politics and used to be well educated on issues, but now not so much.
I generally have a leftist/nihilistic/post-modern/r... bent. Hopefully there aren't that many people like me here.
So, what shall we talk about?!
- A/S/L?TheBlueOne
- hi kuzDrBombay
- 27/M/London, UK. I have short black hair, dark brown eyes, brown complexion, 6ft2, 195lbs, with an athletic low fat buildKhurram
- u? a/s/l?Khurram
- hi dobs/rick. Love you. I still have your poster of the jazz man on my wall! You remember?Khurram
- I forgotten who the print of the guy is tho, mind.Khurram
- Yes I do, not sure which I sent, what color is it?DrBombay
- blue. He looks like a black man, if that's any help. Playing a trumpet i think, or maybe a saxophone.Khurram
- Charlie ParkerDrBombay
- Khurram0
ok, i'll start:
Did you guys think that joke Letterman made about Palin's daughter was funny? Because i did and i don't think he should have apologised. If Palin was Michael Jackson, nobody would have said anything, but because she is a politician, she's used it to raise her profile and make it an "issue" to make herself look good all party political, and more Letterman.
Also, what do you all think about the MP's expenses scandal in England?
- Khurram0
Also with Iran, i don't have much of an opinion. I mean yeah, its bad what the mad Ayatollah's are doing and the international community has a duty to not do anything that would bolster the position and give succor to the bad guys over there. But then at the same time they have to be careful because if they were seen to be too "active" they could make the situation worse and Iran migth totally shut down like in North Korea, which would be worse for all those concerned, i think.
Also i feel sorry for Obama cos he was trying to do a "softly softly" reapproach with Iran and it was starting to work a little, but then this shit happens and its caught everyone, even the Ayatollahs on the back foot, so its been really difficult for him to give an effective job. Being president is so darn hard!
- exactly. Another thought, if we're too 'active' as you put it, might that not remind Iranians of our involvement in their politicstommyo
- in the past with the Shah? Thus taking some of the steam out of their movement.tommyo
- Yes, that's the worse part. The history of the US in Iran is not very nice. As we have seen, Iran is a very segmented societyKhurram
- society, and there are alot of "progressive" "reasonbalish" voices in the leadership that CAN be reasoned withKhurram
- in fact, i would bet that its partly Obamas softly softly tactics that has embolned the "reformers" to speak up in the first placeKhurram
- first -place. We need to be careful not to fuck shit up.Khurram
- tommyo0
Hi Khurram, you used to be Kaz right?
I didn't get the big dust up about that Letterman joke either. Once they tried to say he was talking about her 14 year old and not the one who had been knocked up before it became pretty clear they were just stirring shit up.
- yeah. I just got back from the states (love your country!) and it was on the news, i was like shit, relaxe...Khurram
- that's the sort of crap they do in England as well, with the politicking and media which huntsKhurram
- tommy o'conor right? U used to be IDP? I remember u sent me a DVD once. Thanks!Khurram
- I have loads of porn if you want it. Just let me know xKhurram
- Yup and you send me one in return which was pretty great, I still have it. Thanks!tommyo
- oh right, yeah i did. No porn for you then! ;)Khurram
- I'm into the really kinky shit anyways. So it's probably better this way.tommyo

all this Iran stuff is hard to believe really... the twitter rebellion, the youtube conflict, citizen journalists, etc... it's sad that people are getting killed and Iran is starting to look like Iraq – but somehow it all feels like a bunch of malarky-I don't see riots going on in the suburbs of Iran. And has anyone cared to ask why does it seem this just another CIA "overthrow" of the Iran government over oil. It's almost like we have seen this kind of meddling happen in Iran before...
- TheBlueOne0
I dunno, while one would be naive to not think that there are CIA and Mossad on the ground there, it doesn't strike me as that kinda operation. Seems real homegrown and groundswell with some opportunistic folks in the Iranian power structure jumping sides...
- harlequino0
Yeah I agree with TBO. Maybe 20-25 years ago, it'd be hard to to think this was a CIA/DOD/Pent gig, but there's a lot of motivation amongst the council, the shah, and the scores of Amahdenajahd supporters in the government to really wipe out any of the progressive party members with any clout.
Read a good book about the CIA this past year, it's the first one taken soley from first hand accounts. The impression you get, especially moving into the past decade is how the CIA has lost a lot of its mojo. Hard getting Middle East experts in there, let alone anyone who speaks the languages. The massive intelligence failure surrounding 9-11 seems to have been something of a wake up call.
