    Opinion:
"Manufacturing in the USA is at or near its lowest point in modern history. All industries are crashed and burned. Please be real. End of story."

    Fact:
"The United States remains by far the world's leading manufacturer by value of goods produced. It hit a record $1.6 trillion in 2007 - nearly double the $811 billion of 1987. For every $1 of value produced in China factories, the United States generates $2.50."

GetRefresh: Doesn't let facts get in the way of his Rush Limbaugh approved talking points.

    • "by value of goods" ie. because its expensive.
1.6 trillion was worth 870 billions in 1987

    FACT:
Manufacturing as a % (percentage) IS MUCH LOWER and near it's LOWEST % POINT in American History. I'm not talking in terms of VALUE. EVERYONE knows that America is by far the world's leading producer.

Again, I am referring to %. Do you understand TheBlueDildo?

AND FOR THE LAST TIME YOU FAGGOT, I don't listen to Rush.

Also, TheBlueOne, your Mother never should have fucked the milk-man.

To GetRefresh, let me speak down to a language you can understand.

You said nothing about percentages. You said, and I quote "Manufacturing in the USA is at or near its lowest point in modern history. All industries are crashed and burned."

I replied with the actual fact that, despite the undeniable fact that as a overall percentage of the economy, the manufacturing sector was rather robust, so much in fact that compared dollar to dollar, produces more value comparably to the Chinese manufacturing sector.

In a stunning refutation of my opinion you called me a "dildo", and then said "EVERYONE knows that America is by far the world's leading producer."..how that jives with your statement just prior of " All industries are crashed and burned." I have no fucking clue.

See, as opposed to Dr. Bombay's ridiculing of you stating you didn't go to college, I said that made little difference. I take that back. See I studied politics for 4 years. Did an undergraduate thesis in developing world revolutionary political movements, in fact. I had to write a 200 page thesis and defend it to a board. So, see, I know how to, you now, state a fact, and then defend it to people attacking the argument I am making.

I have learned that trying to make oneself understood is not compromised of making a hyperbolic statement like "All industries are crashed and burned!" then stating it's practical opposite with "EVERYONE knows that America is by far the world's leading producer." and then when called on it, replying "Do you understand TheBlueDildo? your Mother never should have fucked the milk-man."

See, in my world, when people say shit like that to me it means all logical and communicative routes are gone and then I drive my thumb into their eye socket the next time they open their fat fucking mouth and infer something unsavory about my mother's character.

Say thank you you're not in my vicinity, asshole.

^^ If you majored in politics, then it is no wonder why you are so upset, and defensive when a high-school dropout (myself) can enter a political discussion, and hand you your ass on a silver platter.

In fact, your college major just confirms what I already know about you. Your a well-trained liar, you got an "A" in being full of shit, your an expert symantec-mister, your a spin-doctor.

And by the way, you cannot win a debate with me. Ever. Go ahead and try, bicycle-seat-sniffer.

    2) Automobile
    3) Machine Tools
    4) Steel
    5) Aluminum
    6) Air Cargo
    7) Commercial Printing
    8) Commercial Packaging

I could go on, and on.

Also, countless thousands of businesses, from start-up to "too big to fail" have "CRASHED and BURNED". I REPEAT: "CRASHED and BURNED". They are gone. Zippo. Nada. Dick.

    all shit talking aside,

list American products that you own over $100

    as for me well
    All Kitchen Appliances ,
    washer - dryer

other than that my PC (gateway) and MAC Book, were built in China or elsewhere in Asia

    same for TV

    cars we owe German and Japanese ;

    people want things cheap so American companies will keep looking for the cheapest labor ;

right over the Boarder are the Maquilas (Factories) of hundreds of American Companies , as well as European , workers get Mexican wages and managers get American wages ,

our manufacturing is definitely not what it once was

  • tommyo0

    Fuck you Mr. Geithner.

Now he's asking for the Treasury to have the power to take over collapsing non banking financial companies. Last week he couldn't even admit that his office fucked up when it deliberately asked for a loophole for those AIG bonuses. Sooo what you're saying is that the government, actually the Treasury, has the intelligence and foresight to step in and handle a corporation fire sale, but they can't even seem to get a handle on policy and contracts for the financial corporations we already fucking own? mmmm yeah and April 15th I'll be hiring Stevie the Bum to do my taxes. I'm sure everything will work out well. Since you know, idealism and bravado is all that's really needed when financial solutions are called for ... pay no mind to the failures of the past everything will be fine.

I mean, as John Q Public over here are we at least putting 2 and 2 together and realizing that a majority of our problems right now stem nearly directly from government policy? Or at least a lack of government policy in some areas (i.e. failing to require matching capital behind credit default swaps) and sheer jaw dropping failure to recognize and address obvious problems before they become egg, on, face gigantic catastrophic issues (AIG Bonuses, TARP, Barney Franks fat fucking lying mouth, SEC + Madoff, Community Reinvestment Act, fuck even Enron belongs in this category). I call myself a libertarian and I'll come right out and say it, I don't mind a little gov action. The problem is this: Can any of you tell me that what we're getting from these people is anything more than proof that they're out of touch and completely ineffective? Show me some upside, cheer me up! Almost every day I feel like politically we're living a god damn Kafka novel ripe with that dreamlike void of tangible conscious action juxtaposed with fantasy like situations. We're just watching these morons burn the sails to save the rudder.

The Catholic bishop of South Bend, Indiana, will not attend graduation ceremonies at the University of Notre Dame because he disagrees with the stem-cell research and abortion views of the commencement speaker -- President Obama.
