I never drink really. Last night I had 5 pints, nearly threw up and today I've felt as rough as a dogs arse. However, when I do get a hangover I find I can concentrate so much better and get a lot more work done. Anyone find this? Anyone ever tempted to drink everynight to keep the productivity levels high?

I'm tempted to drink everynight... but not for the reasons you state here.
I have however found myself to be rather productive after drunken evenings (with exception - should be noted).
5 Pints? Come hangout with me sometime, get ya toughened up in no time.

yeah i used to have hangovers like that. it was awesome! i'd say that you shouldn't make yourself like that on purpose though. reason... it's not like that for me anymore and it could be because those braincells that were working for me in the past have decided to move on :/ haha

I've tempted to drink everynight, but not for productivity sake.
I'm still a little bit hungover from last night. I've not done shit today.

yeah, for real, 5 pints?
and to answer your question - I'm pretty worthless when hungover.

Opposite. Last night I did not drink a drop. Today I am productive.
Drink bottled beer, tap beer is dirty and will make you feel worse always.- never knew this._salisae_

- Depends. A good pub/bar who takes beer seriously cleans their lines and taps. A dive bar, hole in the wall place does not.stoplying
- A bottle is clean and consistent. A draft could have a dirty glass, dirty taps, and or dirty lines. Way more room for problems

I find that as I've got older, a hangover can last all day, a whole day of not being able to get out of bed, throwing up green silky stuff every 20 minutes, relieved only temporarily by wanking or sleep.
A 'light' hangover for me kinda trips me out, I keep reeling from these profound and dark insights into the violent, hopeless side of the world and humanity, and it's really so vivid I can't function properly. I don't tend to get drunk anymore - I get to a certain point of very merry, then my body refuses to consume anymore.
And I've given up smoking. Entirely irrelevant to this thread, but honestly I never thought I'd be able to do it after 15 years, but I have, I can breathe better, food tastes better, and I don't want to smoke again, it's fricking great :)- Well done, M3. Congrats.blaw

I got the same symptom, great concentration, focus and ideas flowing through my brain when your in a hang over state. I guess it has something to do with your body is too occupied to recover so that you dont get any new impressions from outside. And your mind and logic brain is to lazy and slow to stop your CRAZY ideas to pop up in your head.

If you only had five beers and are productive today then what you are experiencing is not a hangover. It's your mind informing you that beer does in fact do a body good.

i'm always recovering from the night before.
