what's the best job you ever had?
mine: a night janitor in a library. I was able to clean the whole place in 4 hours in a 6 hour shift. The remaining two hours I'd spend reading, taking my nightly dump, listening to canadian public radio, surfing the web, and reading newspapers from exotic locales like san francisco, where I wanted to live. After I was done I would go to a computer lab and work on a 3d project. Pure magic.

costume shop. so much fun for 11 months of the year - the busiest time was october, of course.
but even that month was fun because we got to go to so many costume parties as different stuff every night - plus our dressing rooms had skimpy curtains so i'd see alot of hot chicks butt cheeks.

Working as an accountant, crunching numbers with my own HP48GX graphing calculator, which is considered the best on the market. It even had Reverse Polish Notation (RPN), which rocks!

my first job when i was about 15 or 16 or so was to paint signs in the windows of a dept store. christmasy related things: a big santa head, candy cane. it was cool because i did something that everyone saw (they were 3 or 4 big windows and the building was along a major road), and i had a blast doing it. didn't hardly get paid but i didn't care. it only took one day but i thought it was cool

Delivering tires for a company called Sports Car Tire (summers in college..) got to load up and run to high end dealers all day.. so combined my love of cars, tires and to this day I still get Pirelli's at wholesale or less! (Which comes in handy...)

My job in the government before this one (same department, but different boss). My old boss didn't care about anything I did, as long as I finished my work. I got to take off days all the time and still got paid (I wasn't supposed to get paid, but she didn't care), and everyone was super nice (we had chocolate parties in the department and stuff). New boss now, but she's usually in a good mood anyway.
I've had jobs with friends and other people, but it's always different when you work in fast food or in the retail business. Eyes are always on you and you are expected to look busy at every second. So it negates the fact that you are working with friends.
