the best job i ever had was in the meat dept at a local organic grocery store. I had the closing shift every night, which sounds like it'd be horrible (cleaning up everything), but I was always partnered with a pretty radical dude. we'd blast tunes and do other "non-work" related things to pass the time. youth is amazing.

Being a 16 year old jazz guitarist in smokey bars was pretty cool back in the day.

Two years at a now defunct advertising agency right at the very end of the excessive expense account era. I swear to god we must have hit the pub on an account every lunchtime and every friday a swanky restaurant. Lunch hours were never less than two hours, by 6.00pm sharp we were drinking, on account, in the local cheesey winebar, then on to curry or a thai, on account, and cabs home, on account.
Did almost no work at all for two years, became incredibly fat and drank like a fish. After two years I woke up and realised my portfolio had stagnated while I transformed into an ad agency wanker, so I left.
Good times in many ways. Awful in others.

oh oh oh! i had one other crazy bs job in college. i worked at a telemarketing agency that obtained really weird contracts - one being for the "republican issues campaign". i'd basically call a huge list of republicans and ask for "donations", which people thought would go to the ACTUAL republican campaign.
i wasn't too stoked about calling on behalf of this bogus campaign so i would always read the script in a way that would convince people NOT to donate. plus, some kid found out a way to make the system make calls and we'd duck out for hours at a time and it would still look like we were doing work. awesomeee!

Besides my current, I would have to say being a currency trader. The job was quite fast-paced and was never boring. My adrenaline would shoot up during every trade. I remember working all night with two team members, monitoring the Yen with coffee and some donuts. I was a lot younger then also.

I hate it when people say "if you find something you love you'll never work a day in your life". That's a load of bullshit.
