ahhh....hmmm...that would be cool...except it's just me over here!

So like the runners on pages 2-3 vs Vector... that might work.

Dude (jevad), I just started running 5 weeks ago. I got the nike plus thingy 2 days before the last challenge started. I was in horrible shape, I still have a huge beer belly and my very first run 5 weeks ago was 0.9 km and I was completely dead! I started to kicked butt in my 3rd week.
Dude, just give it time. Any rookie could be a surprise from the 3rd week if there's a little consistency.- oh stop it, you starting to sound like hedgeMeeklo
- yes, running takes time and with time and consistency you will improve, but I can't do more than 8k on one run at the moment, there might be people that can't do more than 3, and then youMeeklo
- what a load of BS!jevad
- moment, and some people can't do more than 4, and then you.
So divisions make sense no?Meeklo
- Meeklo0
yeah..
lets do this one, and based of distance you will get on one of the 2 teams.. does that sound good?Suggestions for team names? PIITB ---->

you know jevad?
Vector M was whining on the last race, how he sucked, how he was out of shape, how his yellow running tights made his legs itch so much.. and then look.. he murdered everyone..
Are you playing that same game?- hey chill buddy...
those tights are pretty comfortable.VectorMasked
- hey chill buddy...
- VectorMasked0
whatever.
I am now like 35 pounds overweight and did not do pretty much any physical activity in close to 2 years until 5 weeks ago. I tried running every single day before work except for when my ankle was bothering me and when I got my wisdom teeth taken out. There's not much I can say. All I did was push myself to wake the fuck up early in the morning and do 5k regardless how how crappy or sleepy I was feeling that morning.

ok well - if you aren't taking the piss and are being honest then that's rad dude - and good on you!
- yep. I'm just using this to get back in shape like how I was 2 years ago. Plus, I hate losing. I'll do my best to be in the top3VectorMasked

this is great, I'm glad to see new people joining to this biatch...
- lvl_130
yeah, it should be fun. i'm hoping the huge hole i cut into my nikes to fit the tachometer won't hinder my running! we shall see haha!

man, this thing got me hooked. hah. freaking looked at new pair of running shoes (found some nice nikie +) a nano as i didn't have one, the + for nano and armband. kind a run up the $$$ a little bit more then I wanted. lol.
by the way, how many have the "Nike Sport Armband for iPod nano"? is it any good? It got some bad reviews. Anyone use Incase armband? does the + and nano fit in it?
ciao
- Meeklo0
akrok:
I use a black rubber skin that comes with a strap, I got it at the mall for probably 10 bucks (I assume $9 dollars over what it really costs) I use the strap on my fist, so I can hold the ipod and change music or whatevs.. I don't like wearing it in my arm.My gf got me a pair of nike free shoes (one of the first models) at nordstrom rack I think, for like 35 bucks..
that's cheap as hell and I love the shoes, I will go get them again at that same place..I'm sure you can get great new shoes on ebay for really cheap. :)
If you already have an ipod, get a used nano if you can, it's really not worth to buy a new one just for running, but hey.. if you find a good deal..
- Meeklo0
14k ??? not on a single run I hope..
- VectorMasked0
I was just gonna say that...
14k is pretty damn good. I can't yet do more 7 or 8k, but then I've been running for just 6 weeks, and Jevad for 3 months. Technically Jevad should kick my butt.
One question... If I for example I do 2 5k runs, does it show the last run as 5k or both together for 10k?
- you mean "theorically" for it to be technical we need to consider number of runs, frequency, time per run.. etc :)Meeklo
- I mean whatever it should be...
I ain't no native English speaker

to answer your questions..
I think (I might be wrong) that every time to "begin workout" and "end workout" means that it will be tracked separate, it may record it as one if you "pause workout" and then "resume workout"but I never really tried it so I'm not sure..
- lvl_130
with the bracelet thing, is there a way to start and stop it from recording data? ie. say if i walk to the lakes by my place (about 2 blocks away) and then start running around the lake, i don't walk it to include the walking part to and from the lake, just the part that i am actually running.
does that make sense? is it possible to track only the actual running part of my run (not the walking part to and from the lake)?
- never mind. i hadn't realized the instruction pamphlet contained within the packaging. doh!lvl_13
