Kazey and Bulldog - Big Truck EP
http://www.sendspace.com/file/2q…
Coming straight outta Paris, Kazey & Bulldog are currently basking in the glory of their “Dirty Wheels EP” on Dress 2 Sweat - the best club record you’ll hear this side of Baltimore. The lead track “Big Truck” has already been licensed to DJ Craze’s “Fabric mix” CD, and has been played out heavily by the likes of Sinden, Scottie B, Tittsworth, who describes the limited edition picture disc as “absolutely bullet proof from beginning to end”. Other tracks include banging remixes of Liquid’s Rave classic “Sweet Harmony”, played by Surkin, Philippe Zdar, Feadz... “Give It Up” by Twista & Pharrell (featured on the “Menage A Trois Ed Banger Mixmag” CD) and a hype hype refix of Lil Jon’s “Snap Yo Fingaz

Ikonika - Please / Simulacrum
http://www.sendspace.com/file/df…
Hyperdub unearths another new talent, Ikonika here presenting her debut material for the label, her wonky/bleep dubstep situating itself somewhere between the hook-driven ditties Skream has made his own, and Kode 9's double-time arrangements. The production is suitably plastic, with the focus firmly on those arpeggiated synth notes and synthetic bass rubs that do their thing nicely alongside tight snares that keep the momentum. Of course, by now no one in their right mind would question Steve Goodman's selection skills, and following on from the brilliantly entertaining Quarta 330 twelve, Ikonika is another solid transmission from the country's most developed, forever intriguing bass imprint... Recommended.

Beatnicks Vols. 1 & 2
Excellent pair of EPs from the Rushhour-affiliated Up My Alley crew, bringing together some of the finest producers of post-Dilla instrumental beats. The main attraction here is Glaswegian don Rustie who follows up on his immense "Jagz The Smack EP" with brand new killer "Soapy Tits", an utterly squashed synth-heavy beat decimation that would make many of his compadres pale with envy. This guy just has a knack of creating next-level beat science out of a heaving mess of clanks, drops and carnage - and this is one of his finest tracks yet. Jackhigh, meanwhile, makes use of Dabrye's patented skewed synths for a killer session, while Last Order make cheesy use of the mother of all summer samples on "Summertime" and 1000 Names utilise some slowed-down and mashed up 50's advertising to excellent effect.

Ha, Crystal Castles samples a soundbyte that Death From Above used on their album "Heads Up" from the song Dead Womb, oh wait, and there's a byte of the song at the end, more obvious than I originally thought.
- they're both from Toronto right? maybe even the same people ;Pneue75_bold

Global Communication - 76 14
http://www.sendspace.com/file/2u…
76:14 is a 1994 ambient music album by Global Communication. Originally released on Dedicated, the album has been re-issued a number of times, most recently in 2005 in a remastered and expanded version.
The title of the album is the total length of the album in minutes and seconds. Each track on the album is untitled, or, more accurately, titled simply with the length of the song.
In 2005, the album was reissued with a bonus disc featuring singles released before and after the album, as well as enhanced packaging and new liner notes from the group and notable fans of the album. The bonus tracks are notably much more in the vein of house and jazzy techno than the more ambient, mostly beatless album.
The album is featured in The Guardian's "1000 albums to hear before you die" list. It is described as an "unfathomably beautiful out-of-time masterpiece"
