You've got readability issues. Need to keep in mind that good ligatures need to respect and possible reinforce the way the eye reads the spaces between letters to assemble words. I would suggest starting from a well kerned foundation of the set of letters you want to use – then get out the pencil and paper and begin generating variations to see whats possible in the framework of the word "effect." While a wordmark may be a "simple" approach, well crafted and memorable ones require a lot of time and development to accomplish.

- I don't think so. I'd re-work only on the "ff", placements, ligatures.. the "ect" is well achieved, so I'd focus only on the first 3 characters...kodap

- ect does look good alrightjimzyk

letters2 is right but I certainly think it's a good start.
FF is tight

I'm not sure I like the counter of the letter 'e'. Rotate 90 degrees and see how it looks.

I like it a lot.

i don't like your f's. i like the rest of it though.

It needs an exclamation mark or two.
Sorry, nothing useful to add - looks OK, I'm sure Letters2 makes some good points, but they're way over my tiny head. It's be nice to see how you're planning to use it in context - colouration, etc - at the moment, all I see are nice letters, arranged into a word (that's not a criticism.. merely a reflection of my ignorance).

I like it, just tighten the kerning between the first e and ff. Maybe someone should be done to the ff though, they start to bleed together a little.
- flyingnowhere0
maybe raise the first F up a little to give the second more room, maybe even up the bottoms of the F's maybe not
- Kiko0
why not extend the bottom of the f and make something out of that, like some vines perhaps?
- i_monk0
Go sit in the corner Kiko.
- Alpesh0
ha ha yeh go sit in the corner and think about what you just said kiko. Thanks for the feedback people

don't forget to add 2 extra fs to fit in with the new post-fffound frontier

I like it as a logo, but as has been said, it needs a bit more crafting, and vines!!!

If this new design studio is trying to steer clear of 'new trends'? Then why is the word mark look like something I would see on a Smashing Pumpkins album cover? I actual do like the typeface but it screams "generation X or Y" to me?
- Alpesh0
I was refering to logo trends of 2008,
http://www.logoorange.com/logo-d…Just didnt want to go down that road

I like it very much. I'd like to see some of the sharp corners have a very slight rounded edge to them. Very subtle though.
