(Madirish I swear to God not a word out of you! Just be glad I decided on the MBP.)
As I've recently added a few Mac blogs to my google reader page as well as macrumors.com messageboard as well, I've been seeing some hilarious stuff. Not sure if people are idiots, kids, stoned, who knows.
Among my favorite questions and posts:
1. Someone asked if having more than one ipod meant needing TWO versions if itunes installed and actually said "That would be awesome if you could access both of them at the same time in itunes." Geez!
2. There's a "show your setup" thread there, and there's a post by someone who swears that FIVE 23" monitors is not enough "screen real estate" for web design.
Are you kidding me?
3. I'm astounded at the people who get a new Mac of anykind, and submit photos of it as if no one has ever seen it before, or as if people have never seen an unboxing photo set before of a particular computer.
The utterly hideous Mac pride is something i don't plan on participating in. I just want a computer that works.

I will admit...I viewed a lot of Macbook-related Youtube videos before I bought mine.

I'm a Mac geek so I best keep my mouth shut before I get bullied

Also in the show your setup thread (and I really need to link to these when I'm at home later)
Someone took a photo and had a subwoofer ON THE DESK in front of the raised monitor. RIGHT IN THEIR FACE!
People asked about it, and the guy was like blah blah this is a special system, the subwoofer needs to be directly in front of you, it can't be on the floor.
I'll post the picture later, it's hilarious. And I believe all of it. The guy wasn't kidding in the slightest.
- I saw that one... had to shake and then lower my head in shame... sad. really.MediaPimp

Your saying it wouldn't be awesome to run 2 ipods in 2 different versions of itunes at the same time? I think that would be auto-awesome.

I like macs, wish I still had one, but I wouldn't partake in the mac snobbery, I just genuinely prefer using os x.
- No, I much prefer this kind of anti-mac snobbery.MrOneHundred

I actually know this kid whose dad worked for Apple, he has wrap-around 30" studio displays on a Mac Pro for 'games'. Like WoW or something. Stupid.

Here's that picture of the subwoofer setup:
http://www.swanspeaker.com/produ…
They're called Swans M10, really nice looking speakers but I highly doubt they say the following, as the original poster on macrumors stated:
"Holy crap, is that a sub?? Needs to go on the floor...or really ANYWHERE but on the desk. Nice looking setup otherwise."
"Well, that is a "sort of" sub, I don't know how to explain it but it has to be in front of the person in order to get the "full experience" Swan M10's"
- fuglypascii
- what? he OBVIOUSLY likes the "full experience".doesnotexist
- in the face.alkanenine
- I think he needs to tape that sub onto his head.ephix
- kalkal0
OK, that /is/ really stupid. He probably thinks its a middle speaker for the central sound channel ;)

I've never really understood whole taking loads of photos of unpacking new mac stuff from boxes thing.
- mg330
Now I'm really laughing at a post on Mac Forums.
Someone actually asked if the Macbook Pro comes with a built in memory card reader.
It just astounds me that people ask that stuff given the perfectly described hardware on the Apple web site. It's plain as day from descriptions and photos on the site. Pretty funny.
Anyhow, my MBP is still boxed up here at work and I'm counting the minutes before I leave to head home! Go figure it's the last day of the month and I'm working on client bills and could stay here all night.
- Yeah, I post there and at http://ehmac.ca for my Canadian needs. Most of the questions are very redundant.Jaline

Here's a Mac laugh for you, direct from my new MBP...
Even though my wireless internet is fast, I made the mistake of doing all the OS software updates with the wireless. I get 4 - 6 MB a second plugged into the Ethernet. This is taking a while.
- czawada0
Mac fanboys are quite possibly the most entertaining people on teh interwebs.
I've been following their foibles for some time now, it never gets old.
- jamble0
mg, where are the photos of you unboxing it??
