who here is improving themselves and how?
I'm reading, exercising, and playing video games. I know video games doesn't seem like self improvement but I'm using it to increase my attention span.

Been surfing since I was a kid, I know what muscles to work...what I meant was that in addition to my usual whole-body workouts (both weightlifting and cardio) I'm spending more time targeting my paddling muscles, since I've not surfed in 2+ yrs.- "Paddling muscles". Ha. Made me laugh.TheBlueOne

Self improvement is masturbation. Now self destruction...

I am trying to improve my self-confidence and self-worth by starting a blog in which I document a lot of the problems and challenges that I face in my work.
I used to think I knew nothing, but I'm starting to realize that after working in the industry for a number of years, I actually have a fair amount of knowledge and experience that I think can be beneficial to others.
The thing that excites me most about the internet is sharing information, so I might as well do my part. If people actually read my stuff and find it helpful, I will be happy...and who knows it might get me some more work.
I am also getting more exercise by biking to work once per week. When the days are longer I'm going to do it twice a week.

I'm accepting that stress is inevitable and it's just a part of life. thus making everything less stressful. I compare it to the stress our cavemen ancestors probably had to face (having to migrate long distances in search of food & water, having to watch your back so you don't get eaten by a lion, etc etc.). So it doesn't affect me much anymore.
Also, I haven't partied since New Year's. Haven't had a single drink in almost a month.

I'm crawling up to the edge of the irony hole and throwing myself into oblivion with a passion. I want to go through the curtain and see what's on the other side.
I'm also hoping to give up mushrooms.

Exercising more
Taking the stairs up and down in my building everyday instead of the elevator
Playing squash twice a week
Cut way back on my drinking (once or twice a month instead of every Friday and Saturday and sometimes Thursdays and Tuesdays and Wednesdays....)
Quit smoking (was only smoking when I drank, but cut that out altogether)
Getting up when my alarm goes off and eating a healthy breakfast everyday instead of hitting snooze 100x and rushing out the doorReading more instead of watching TV. I try to read for 2 hrs every night
Learning AS3
Taking some project management courses in the springThere is so much I want to do, but there just isn't enough time in the day
