Anyone have a cat or dog that occasionally freaks out a bit while it's sleeping?
My cat is behind me asleep in her usual Raman Noodle box bed

and she just let loose this guttural noise that shifted into a high pitch whine, tightened up like she was shocked, and then instantly went back to sleep. Crazy.

its funny, i saw my dog on its back growling like rolling back and forth. and i woke him up and he had the same look that any person would have..
"huh what? who huh? wtf did you wake me up i am going to bed"
- OeufOeuf0
Haha. I woke my dog up once while she was in the middle of one of her dreams and I swear she got upset. She let out a snort got up off her cushion and moved to another part of the room and went back to sleep. Dogs are awesome! Cats too, but i'm allergic to them.

I recon the cat looks pretty happy in the box, cats are weird like that.
My cat suddenly hears things and wakes up wide eyed even if its dead silence, guess she has better hearing than me though

LOL I should have known someone would call me out on the bed.
She has several nice beds, including this one:
(mine)
and this one
and this one
(hers)But she has a real affinity for cardboard boxes and bags, like any cat, and she fell in love with this tiny Raman box that once held a dozen Raman packages. If I'm at my computer, chances are that she'll be in the box, but come winter time and the radiator being on, she'll be laying on that platform (first picture I posted) all the time getting her heat on.

my dog never barks, but he loves to howl at sirens. and sometimes in his sleep he lets off a haunting howl that wakes me up. its freaky

my two boxers do the muffled bark/run - we always imagine they're chasing the squirrels that taunt them in the backyard.

My cat kicks into berzerker mode around 10pm.

I have a dog that burps, and it sound like like a human burp, cracks me up.
As for the cat, have you tried VoDO.

Our two greyhounds both twitch and run in their sleep while grunting to themselves doing the whole eyes rolled back in their skulls .. it's all a little omen

All of my cats during their dreams used to do the most strange noises.
The first cad i had used to literally "talk" (in a cattish way of course) during her dreams.

Two days ago my guy was sleeping in his bed and we are watching him for some odd reason. Anyway, in his sleep he starts humping the pilliow for like 5 minutes. Great stuff.

Now we have "human nightmares by my cat," which is her frequent need to take a massive stinking shit at 11:30 p.m. when I've just gotten home from band practice and I'm sitting at the computer long enough to read e-mail and check up on you guys.
Her litter box, my computer desk, and the kitchen all pretty much occupy the same space.
I'm the one who had the Wendy's Baconnatter for dinner, not her!
