it is actually still pretty cheap even if you don't get it.
i think many people have not ever been exposed to what is actually spent in higher level biz-dev. it is really pretty crazy what gets passed around.

Like irish says, we can only imagine what goes on where the big fish swim. Large companies getting larger orders from other large companies have absolutely nothing to do with how good they are or how much it costs, but rather what they GAVE away in order for the client to even consider the offer...

for real.
i have been on both sides of it (for the group's in the deal) and it is really pretty funny what is tossed out there to be considered. now, i have not been involved yet in any of the pretty gnarly-big ones, but kind of growing up aroudn them, i can confidently say it comes down more than not, what the deal to make the deal consists of, rather than the actual delivery of whatever the fuck is getting dealed about. lol.
