the image size thing..they look OK on Safari, Crap on Windows IE... because IE is crappy at rendering an image at other than its actual size (like 103% or something)
'DPI' settings are irrelevant here (we arent printing anything). The problem is the web page has a different pixel width-height set than the actual image size pixels. Either dont specify the size in the page, or get it right...

Why have a hotmail address if you have your own domain?
Nairn
(May 27 07, 05:20)True, although, personally, I got sick of random NT trolls sending spam messages to my email at my site, which sucks at picking up spam. So that's why Gmail is better. Although I understand why "Gmail" is better than "Hotmail" in terms of the name and its associations.

looks very british.
- PPirate0
that was the look i was aiming for.

Is this layout what's in? I've never been cool enough to know.

(May 27 07, 05:41)Yeah...what's that guy with the side navigation? About simplicity and just showing your work and that's it...
Can't remember his name.
Anyway, even if sites look like that, the concept is so simple that it doesn't mean someone is following "his" idea.

Eatock, Jaline, and I was referring to the email on his site, not in his NT profile - as far as potential employers are concerned, that is beyond irrelevant.
PP - I don't want you to think I was needlessly harshing on you - you're obviously pretty capable. I'd just like to see a bit more of you in your work - not the trappings of the zeitgeist.

being a student it would be cool to see more of your student projects (the stuff you've had months to work on and devlop the concepts)

(May 27 07, 06:09)I don't know where you went/go to school, but I want to go there...I have two week time limits for most all of my projects, unless my professor is feeling extra generous

...the zappings of the shitegeist.

2 months a piece...
(although i do some freelance work, and one week projects to stop the course from dragging on..
regardless of how long you get at college, the emphasis is on the ideas.. and they dont come accorss on the site...
needs a bit more background, not just the visual hit

some of his work looks better than most of the stuff that gets shown here

(May 27 07, 07:18)Sorry, Nairn. I made that post right after I woke up and then realized I was talking about irrelevant things.
Anyway, yup, that's Eatock I was mentioning.

Rand
(May 27 07, 08:07)true that

- PPirate0
Cheers Rand. Appreciated.

the layout is well-worn to the extent of being standard, it is unpretentious and bears all critisism
works every time, i like it
- bcline0
its clean work, but nothing really jumps out at me. then again i'm more of a sucker for a little flare.
- ephix0
putting up with bad critisism is like the NT newbie test.
