I've heard from a few friends thta digitas is starting to take over all interactive work from a lot of the major agencies, letting those agencies basically keep a skeleton interactive crew for edits and whatever.

So here's my take on Digitas, having done my tour of duty with them last year. Basically, you can think of Digitas as a marketing-driven company. And by that, I mean the creative concepts are not really their strong suit. Most of their ideas are driven their Marketing team, and the Creative team come in afterwards to pretty much skin their ideas. It's not very creative. I would definitely say that you'll stagnate creatively if you go there. But on the flip side, if you just want to do your work and don't really care about doing the latest or greatest online work, you'll be fine. They have a lot of smart people there, a lot of stupid bureaucracy and infrastructure, and needless meetings. For doing creative, design-focused work go elsewhere. Also, what you do will depend on the client that you work for. Avoid Amex and Pharmaceuticals. They both suck. The work being done for Samsung and Virgin Mobile is okay. Not great but okay.

i have a friend that works there. not a designer, but on the creative team. email me if you want any info, or probably more apt, a contact for some info.

Ditto with seventys comment. I think 800 people work there now. "Too many cooks in the kitchen" scenerio happening. I was there for about a year then left for a small, more creative driven, shop.
