Speaking of tile - I just got a diamond wet saw for XMas - can't wait to do some tiling....

Seed... I got a buddy putting in the tile, he does it for a living. Actually seeing him do it it looks fairly easy... until of course you have to cut an edge. Fuck that.
The doors are stained. They look nice. The old ones I had were complete shit. They weren't ever sanded after being made and were incredibly rough to the touch.

Thats cool. Not having a wet saw is the one thing keeping me from trying to do some diy tiling.

omfg.. don't start with me... its never ending.
one recent & notable project was hauling upstairs and installing a new 450lb woodstove insert, only to find out it was faulty product, and having to return for exchange and start over.
i'd say that one shaved a couple years off my back.

6 panel doors are actually a HUGE upsale seed. When I first looked at the place I didn't give a rats arse about the doors. The first thing my realator said was 'you have to put in 6 panel doors' and I was like 'ok, how about you take it out of the % you're going to take'.
it is a huge difference though.

k0na, is your trim and baseboard going to match the stain on the doors? Are you installing the doors or getting someone else to do it?

(Dec 28 06, 12:34)I took off a piece of the trim and took it to home depot. They somehow got the correct stain color and the doors match perfectly. It really helped that my friend is a general contractor of home improvement. He helped me a lot along the way.
I took in the trim, got wood doors that were the same (or as close to it as possible) then home depot matched the stain color.
Putting on the doors was super easy.

The biggest pain in the ass i have ever dealt with.
I keep telling myself it will be worth it.
Im gonna keep it for a while. If i was just flippin i would have been done a long time ago and it would have been half assed.

haha. nice ebon.
Good luck man! It looks great so far. Good work!
