Those pieces are stylish. I can't wait to build a work bench and then start attempting to build furniture.

johnstown, pa... land of the floods and the hanson brothers... soft on design and hard on drinking... dog/gun/motorcycle friendly.

Are you putting in the windows yourself?
I tore down paneling and lightly textured a wall yesterday. I had a hard time deciding exactly what to do with the wall. I like the skip trowel method with joint compound and its pretty cheap too. I ended up using Behr sand textured paint which was REALLY messy. Looks pretty good though.

that's really cool. i wonder how strong it is? if they are using it for handrails on staircases it must support weight faily well, 'eh?
i'd only ever seen bendable plywood before.

i'll bet those two would play well together.

interesting thing i discovered about that vanity i mentioned up there ^
i had to route the heating vent through the cabinet, so now if you grab a clean towel and the heater has been running, you get a nice warm towel. how is that for a happy accident?

gonna blow out the wall separating the kitchen and living room and build an island in its place. The overall materials will be 7 layer ply with orange Plexiglas facing.
recently put in a wood and glass patio door out back.

i finally got the sewage smell out of my house this past weekend. The old owners were lazy douchebags at best. There was uncapped plumbing lines behind the finished walls in my basement.
I found them. capped them. now my house doesnt smell like an out-house. so good. other then that, installed a dishwasher this weekend and watched horror films.

we're getting ready to paint 2 walls of our living room orange.

nice blaw!
great for winter, and summer they will be chilly

Gruntt, orange is a counterproductive colour. It is proven that children writing a test in an orange room scores will be lower then the same children writing the same test in a room of any other colour.

yeah, bgheen, looks great.

Thank you. Took me 5 months...even WITH a contractor's help.
Finding proper furniture and arranging a shit-ton of books and antiques I collect has been really difficult..especially on a tight budget...but its coming along nicely.

Those pictures look great. Everything is stylish.
That is your basement?

we had our sewer line bust (offset all over, including at the city main) on dec 31st and had to pony up 8Gs to fix it. insurance doesn't cover it.
once we recover from that we have: remove fireplace insert to revert to wood-burning w/catalytic converter, remodel 2 bathrooms, re-landscape destroyed front yard, move wall in basement.
