CALLES
(Dec 12 06, 10:36)That's not the answer mate - really. Look after yourself - I've known that pain in teh past - I would say almost everybody on here has at one time or another. It's uncomfortable and painful and sometimes you just want it to stop no matter what. Don't let it get there. Go outside, meet up with friends - go and live YOUR life. It's so short - there's not enough time to feel sorry for yourself for too long. Don't let her poison control you.

"This too shall pass."

(Dec 12 06, 10:40)Love it - thank you

a. how do you work that hard with a family?
b. this too shall pass. anytime I feel a project is claiming my life, I start feeling bleak. Maybe your soul is telling you it's time to reassess...or maybe you just need to take a few days away and remind yourself of the life you love.

obviously, there's something wrong with our society.
for me, it's the achievement thing. everybody expect us to do something far beyond ourselves, not in capability but wantsomeness. We are all too much expected.
// bloody protestants!

Tomorrow will be a better day.

oh and it just occured to me that you're a history buff - so when i said "buy a good book" that doesn't mean some book about some terrible fucking war! I suggest something light and funny - basically anything by David Sedaris.

i know jevad... i would be able to give the same advice to someone else if i was not involved.... but now that im in... i can't find a way out. i mean in theory i know what to do.... but its killing me now.... maybe i felt like this once before... and it almost drove me insane
thanks. im really trying to fight this but i dont think im winning the battle right now

It takes time Calles - but as long as you can keep a perspective on things and aim towards getting better about it on a day-by-day 'baby steps' process you will be fine - I swear!

This is the problem with 99.9% of companies. You work your ass off for them, work the OT with no extra pay and what do they give you... more work. Or you get that rep of being the work horse. so you get all the high level projects, the stress, the BS. and do you make more then the others. maybe, maybe not. if/when i run that shit, if you work your ass off and go above and beyond the company will make it worth while. Somehow. xtra vacation days, xtra pay... something so the good employees want to stay and do great work and people want to come and work there. but really, there is a better way to run a business.
work to enjoy life, your work should not be your life.

jevad, spend an extra hour with your son and just laugh and have fun. Any time I'm down, I just get me and my boy together and do something like race cars in the driveway or throw the ball with the dog... it's temporary, but damn I feel so much better for that small bit of wonderful time.

Right-on Point5!
Joyride - the company here treats us amazingly well - just got our xmas bonus check and it's fat!
So, you know, money-wise it's a no brainer.

Calles, I wish i could find a link that helped me out in the past. It was basically a rough guide on how to get over a breakup in 30 days or something like that. had some really good stuff in it.
Time works in the long run, but I know, you need something to stop thinking about it now. go work out, go run/bike, whatever, keep active. don't just sit and think about it. go to a coffee shop and work. just don't sit alone in your place and dwell. get the fuck out and take it day by day. At the end of each day, you'll think. yeah i do feel little better. and then bam, one day you totally cool with the world.

i always think of CALLES as a playa. Just listen to some snoop dog and fuck some hoes.
