I've written about 5 similar long winded posts that I couldn't pull the trigger on because I kept losing myself typing away, haha.
In short, this is good.
In long (and by no means as long as the other posts by about 15 paragraphs), soccer in America has a fucking long way to go to the extent it's almost unfathomable ... but this is a start. Try to gloss over the fact we are "losing" the first good young players we've had to go overseas, by bringing in Beckham and pretty soon the rest of the cast of superstars that haven't really been athletically viable the past few years.
I write "losing" because in all seriousness, any player should jump at the chance coming from the US to play overseas.
I'd be 50/50, just for the sole fact I'd try and get soccer out in the public eye.
Ahhhh ... I'm about to start getting bitter again, haha, I'm stopping here.

yeah flav, but what happened when pele came to US soccer? He was and will be waaaaaaaaay bigger than Becks, and as soon as he left soccer started fading away again... Becks move is based on economic reasons and for their career. He knows no big team in Europe will pay him that much and wherever he goes he won't be the star of the team.
This is the same reason why bigger names in soccer end up playing in Asia, specially Qatar. Money! He just didn't see any future for his wife and kids there.
But this is just my opinion of course....LOL CALLES!!!
